It was cold and stormy. Rain kept getting into the dark gray wolf's eyes. But still he continued. Once in a while, the tired wolf would have to shake the water from his eyes but he never stopped to rest. All that kept going through his mind was, "I need to hurry."
There was a small imp on the wolf's back. Usually, the imp would be busing him, or telling him where he needed to go but not this time. This time the little imp was huddled on his back with a strong fever from the cold. The wolf needed to get to a cave or some sort of shelter to keep her dry. A whimper escaped from the imp, along with some murmuring. She was having a feverish dream.
"Link. Link, where are you? I need you . . ." her voice died down. His heart broke. He wanted to help, but he couldn't. Finally he found a little cut out. Link trotted over there and light sat Minda down. He looked around to see if there were anything he could do like build a fire, but the rain was so strong, he couldn't see a foot away from his face.
So he curled about around her hoping his body heat would be enough to keep her warm. Minda snuggled with his side. Link watched her, worrying if she would be all right. After all the things she did to him, good or bad, he always helped her. He didn't know why, he just did. He wanted to help. Link didn't know her but he felt as if he owed her.
He looked down at Minda to see that she wasn't shaking anymore. She was just sleeping peacefully. If he were in human form, he would have smiled in relief. He decided, then and there, that he was going to help her and protect her until what ever she had planned had succeeded. And with that, he fell asleep.
