Hikaru's POV

I was walking around the hospital looking around wide eyed. It was my first day and i couldn't wait to get started.

"Ah Hikaru there you are"Madoka said smiling.

"Sorry i'm late I got lost"I said.

"This place is huge everyone gets lost at least once. Anyway here is the file for your first patient he's just a few doors down"Madoka said handing me a file.

"Thanks"I said before rushing off. When I got there I saw a little kid.

Later that day…..

I had just gotten done with me 5th patient when Madoka handed me another file.

"Good luck with this one"Madoka said.

"Come on it can't be that bad"I said taking the file.

"See for yourself"Madoka said. I read the room number and went to the room. When I got there I saw a pale guy who seemed to be around my age. He looked terrible he was skinny, really pale, and his hair looked like it hadn't been brushed in days.

"Hi i'm Hikaru Hasama you're new nurse"I said smiling.

"Whatever"he said looking away uninterested.

"Would you like to tell me you're name"Hikaru asked.

"Why bother you could check my charts if you really want to know besides you nurses only last a day or two then you leave"he said.

"What do you mean"I asked confused. He didn't even look at me he just stared at the wall.

"It's really dark in here how about we open the curtains"I said going over to the curtains.

"No"the guy spat.

"Why not"I asked confused. I had never met anyone who liked to sit in the dark all day.

"What will you do when you get out of here. If you never see the sun now it will be really bright when you go outside"I said.

"Are you stupid"the guy asked glaring at me.

"Huh"I asked.

"I'm never leaving here until I die"he said. I looked at his file and saw that he was right because he had a rare disease they didn't even have a cure for yet.

"I'm sorry I didn't know"I said not meeting his eyes.

"Whatever"he said.

"Hikaru you should leave now Damian needs his rest"a nurse said poking her head in the room.

"Ok bye Damian i'll see you tomorrow"I said waving to him and smiling as I left.
