Chapter 1
Max pov
Ugh! My head hurts, wait where am I? What happened? Oh wait, my name is Maximum Ride, Max for short. Call me Maximum and you'll die. I live with my flock: Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gazzy, and Angel. We're special not in the stuck up way I mean we can fly with wings. So where am I? I'm at the school no not the stupid learner school, I meant the scientist crazed, easer filled school. My flock and I got captured,
(Flash back)
"Hey, Iggy what's for breakfast?" I asked. "Pancakes, eggs, and bacon." He replied. I sat down next to Fang and yawned." Tired much?" he asked. "I couldn't sleep till midnight." I said. After Iggy's delicious breakfast, we all went to the park. I sat under a tree; I wasn't in the mood to play. Actually I came just in case easers came. "EASERS!" Nudge's scream broke through my thoughts. I jumped and run an easer kicking it hard in the stomach. What surprised me is that it didn't move or grunt when I kick it. The easer got the chance to punch in the gut hard. "MAX!" Angel. I turned around, which was the worst mistake. My whole flock was unconscious, even fang. I saw Angel fall unconscious. I tried to run for her. But the easer grasped my arms and covered my mouth with too sweetly smelling cloth and black out.
(To reality)
I mentally sighed. Angel. I thought to my little mind reader. Max thank goodness that you're safe. What do you mean? You're not in the cages with us. The whitecoats took you. Thanks Angel. I'll get to you soon ok? Ok. She left my head. Well time to open my eyes.
