Hi! So here is just a little random fluffy one-shot I thought of. For those of you who read Safe in the arms of love and are awating the sequel, I promise it'll be out soon. I'm almost done polishing up the first part so hopefully it won't be too much longer. Anways, I hope you enjoy this little story! :)
Ten year old Dean Winchester was standing in the kitchen of the Railroad Inn, making some macaroni and cheese for him and his younger brother Sam. He had just turned the stove off when he heard Sam scream. "Sammy!" He shouted running into the living room. Sam was standing by the couch with large tears falling down his cheeks. Dean walked over and kneeled down in front of him. "Sammy, what is it? Are you hurt?" He asked.
Sam nodded, his dark curls bouncing.
"Where?" Dean asked guiding Sam over to the kitchen table.
"My… my finger." Sam wailed.
"Let me see." Dean ordered.
Sam shook his head, holding his little fist to his chest.
"Sammy, come on, let me see it." Dean repeated trying to pry Sam's fist apart.
Sam pushed Dean's hand away.
Dean sighed. "I just want to take a look okay. I promise I'll be gentle."
"You… you promise?" Sam asked, his bottom lip trembling.
"I promise." Dean answered and Sam reluctantly showed Dean his chubby little hand. "Which finger?" Dean asked turning Sam's hand over and checking for any noticeable injuries.
"Ow!" Sam yelled pulling his hand back.
"Sorry Sammy." Dean said gently grabbing Sam's hand in his. "Let's see here, oh, look, you've got a bee sting. Wait here a sec okay." Dean got out of his chair and walked to the kitchen sink where they always kept the first aid kit. He pulled out one of his dad's old credit cards and walked back to his brother.
Sam saw the credit card and shied away from Dean.
"Sammy, if you hold still, this'll go quicker and it won't hurt anymore." Dean reasoned. Sam still looked reluctant so Dean pulled out his secret weapon. "I promise."
"You promise it won't hurt?" Sam questioned.
"Promise." Dean answered. "And have I ever broken a promise to you?"
Sam looked thoughtful but after a moment put his little hand on the table and allowed Dean to scrape the card over his palm. After a few minutes, it was done and the stinger was going down the drain. "There we go, all done." Dean said wiping the remnants of his brother's tears away.
Sam shook his head 'no'.
"What, you got another bee sting?" Dean asked.
Sam shook his head and held out his hand towards his brother causing Dean to sigh. "Aren't you a little old for better kisses?" He asked before leaning forward and kissing Sam's palm.
"Nope." Sam smiled a little. "They're magic and I'm never too old for magic."
Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed it and please let me know. :)
