Number One With A Bullet Redo
After watching this episode I have decided to make it better. It was not believable to me that Doug would be in Acoma for getting shot in the head and just be able to get up afterwards like nothing was a miss when a few seasons earlier Ioki was in Acoma for getting shot in the chest and had to walk with a cane for awhile. I think the episode could have been much better. So I have decided to try my hand at fanfiction and write what I think should have happened. This is my first fanfic so please forgive me now. Also I know Hanson was gone by this time cause Johnny Depp left the show but I feel that in this fic he should be there.
I don't own anything but my plot!
Chapter 1
"Doug, could you come in my office?" Fuller asked. The feds had come by earlier to ask for help from the Jump Street program. They need an office to protect a vital informant for the mob. Fuller knew he wanted Penhall to work on this case because he was his best officer.
"Sure thing Captain. What's up?" Penhall replied.
"I need you to work a case for me. Its nothing too hard. The feds came by and asked for our help. They want one of my guys to protect an informant for the mob before the trial." Fuller said.
"So you're asking me to do it?" Penhall asked.
"Yes, you have been on more cases and are one of my best officers. So will you do it?" Fuller explained.
"Sure, it sounds like a babysitting job, so no problem." Penhall replied and left the office to go to his assignment.
When Penhall arrived in the district attorney's office he notice a guy in handcuffs that he figured was the guy he was to protect. After being briefed on the case and his duties he escorted the informant out into the hall. This was a very highly publicized case and the press was everywhere. The informant had been given a bullet proof vest because of the risk to his life from the mob. On the way to the court room the press pressed in on top of the men and started asking tons of questions when all of a sudden a shot ran out in the hall. The hall was so chaotic no one saw who had been hit. Penhall had seen the shooter only seconds before the gun went off. He only had time enough to push the informant out of the way. He was hit in the back and was lying on the floor. He had been shot in the back and upon impact had stumbled and hit his head. He was unconscious on the floor. Once there was some order in the hall someone notice Penhall's limp body on the floor.
"Someone call 911!" called an onlooker.
