Honoka considered herself an optimist. She would always be told by Umi and Kotori that her way of finding happiness in a bad situation was admirable. However, in the current moment, the orange haired idol could find nothing but anger milling deep inside of her.
The frost carved out of the ground clung to her bare hards, staining them a cool red as she struggled to her knees. Pushing her weight up, Honoka slowly lifted herself before moving to cling to the wall on her right. With wobbly legs, Honoka attempted to stand straight but a muffled laugh stopped her. The second year swiveled her head around and shot a glare at the blonde haired girl who was standing, quite balanced, a few feet from her.
"Oh, so funny, ha ha ha. I'm sooo bad at ice skating, laugh all you want."
Eli stifled another laugh with a delicate, glove covered hand. Her eyes twinkled like the Christmas lights that were strung up outside and Honoka couldn't stop herself from admiring them, even in the current moment.
"You just need to get used to it. It's not to difficult."
"Easy enough for you to say Miss I'm Amazing at Absolutely Everything."
All of a sudden, two chilly hands were swiftly pressed against the sensitive skin of Honoka's stomach under her sweater, successfully cutting off her rambling and oh jeez those hands were really cold-
"Ne, ne Honoka-chii. That's not the attitude a leader should have."
Minty breath tickled the proclaimed Honoka-chii's ear while the hands fully wrapped around her stomach, making a little squeak escape Honoka. In the background, Eli skated closer, tugging Honoka's hands away from the wall and holding them in her palms.
Still trying to process what ever on God's Green Earth was happening, Honoka put up no restraint as she felt herself slowly be moved across the ice, away from the only thing keeping her sane and upright, the only thing keeping her from falling flat on her ass for what would've been the sixth or seventh time in the past thirty minutes.
Eli and Nozomi both knew Honoka was going to fall before she did, so Eli tightened her grip on their junior's hand while Nozomi squeezed Honoka's waist. The two were able to hold her upright, much to the ginger idol's relief.
However, she was still very much out on the ice, and still very far from the wall. The safe wall that protected her from falling onto the frozen surface.
"I-I told you guys! I can't do this!"
The purple haired girl sighed and took one of her hands away, placing it on the smooth surface of Honoka's chin. Pressing a light kiss to her jawline, she mumbled out to her orange haired lover.
"I believe in you Honoka-chii. Me and Eli-chii both. Don't worry about falling either. We've got you."
In front of Honoka, Eli intertwined their fingers, bending down and pressing butterfly kisses to Honoka's knuckles that have turned a pretty shade of pink from the cold.
"We've got you Honoka-chan. We won't let you go. Not today, not ever."
Honoka could feel her face flush up from Eli's words. But the next words sent her over the edge.
"And if you try your hardest like a good girl, you'll get a special reward when we get home~"
Honoka was able to skate on her own after that, skating in circles for an hour until Eli and Nozomi had to drag her off the ice.
And she did get a reward. A very special reward.
