I wrote this story as a project in 5th grade and I'm bored so I decided to post it.
Summary: A modern version of Cinderella
Modern Cinderella
Once upon a time, there was a girl named Cinderella, Cindy for short. When Cindy was little she was a millionaire. When she was ten her mom died, and her dad got remarried to a poor old lady, living off the street named Samantha. Two years later Cindy's dad died and Cindy had tolive on the street with Samantha. Cindy's dad's will said that all of his money would go to abandoned animals and finding a cure for cancer
A few months later...
Samantha said to Cindy, "if you get a job when your sixteen you can get a birthday cake." Cindy got a job as a maid.
At work she heard people talking about their Sweet 16 and Cindy really wanted to go butshe had to work that day.
The night of the party...
Cindy called in sick for work. Cindy wasgoing to go to the pary in her ragged cloths, but Cindy's aunt, Mary, came to her with a beautiful red dress, a matching red purse, expensive white shoes and a huge white limo. Mary told Cindy that she has to come back at midnight because she had to leave, to catch a flight to Los Angeles.
At the party...
Cindy saw the most hansome boy, named John,who all the girls wanted to date. They danced together all night, but at midnight Cindy ran to the limo, and dropped her purse.
The next day...
John came looking for Cindy. He asked every girl in town if they had the matching dress. John checking every house, but couldn't find her because Cindy lived on the street.
A couple days later...
One one of Cindy's work days, she was unknowingly cleaning John's house. John saw her and asked if she had the matching dress, and she did!
They both lived happily ever after as boyfriend and girlfriend!
