song: "Just another day" by Oingo Boingo

Just another Day for Bluestreak

Bluestreak was running across the battle field, looking for a safe place to shoot from. This battle was scary! They were on a wide, open plain, with almost nothing to hide behind to snipe. And being one of the best snipers, all the fliers aimed for him. Oh, why couldn't the battle just be over? But life goes on, he thought, and this was just another day for him and the rest of the Autobots.

He had his radio link open for distress calls and Optimus's commands. But what he did hear was seriously ironic. He had caught on to one of those human radio stations.

"Now, here's some Oingo Boingo. 'Just Another Day'." The announcer said, right before the song came on.

I feel it all around, I feel it in my bones

My life is on the line when I'm away from home

When I step out the door the jungle is alive

I do not trust my ears, I don't believe my eyes

It's just another…..It's just another day

It's just another…..It's just another day!

I will not fall in love, I cannot risk the bet

Cause hearts are fragile toys, so easy to forget!

Bluestreak smiled thinly. This song was almost exactly like the 5 million year old war going on around him. Don't trust anyone, don't love… This was cool! He vaguely remembered to actually shoot at the jets flying above him as he sang along.

It's just another day, there's murder in the air

It drags me when I walk, I smell it everywhere

It's just another day where people cling to light

To drive away the fear that comes every night…

It's just another…..It's just another day

It's just another…...It's just another day

It's just another day…when people wake from dreams

With voices in their ears…that will not go away

He took down another seeker and started shooting to the rhythm of the song. He realized this was why Blaster and Jazz liked music so much. It soothed his worries and explained his feelings and thoughts to go along with a cool tune in the background. He started aiming for Starscream's back as Sideswipe held him down.

I had a dream last night. The world was set on fire

And everywhere I ran there wasn't any water!

The temperature increased; the sky was crimson red;

The clouds turned to smoke; and everyone was dead!

The young gunner fired off a couple rounds, frowning at the last couple of lines in the song. It sounded too much of what had happened to his home town of Iacon when the Decepticons destroyed it. He was the only known survivor.

(But) there's a smile on my face…for everyone

There's a golden coin…that reflects the sun

There's a lonely place…that's always cold

There's a place in the stars...for when you get cold

A song about death and war couldn't be this calm, could it? He would have to ask Blaster or Jazz if either of them knew a group called Oingo Boingo. He liked how the singer and band portrayed the scenes and the feelings of surviving.

There's razors in my bed that come out late at night

They always disappear before the morning light

I'm dreaming again of life underground

It doesn't ever move, it doesn't make a sound

And just when I think…that things are in their place

The heavens are secure…the whole thing explodes in my face

It's just another ...It's just another day

It's just another…..It's just another day
