Salutations.

Lol hello fellow Potterheads. Came up with this oneshot idea for a group I'm in and decided to post it here. It's just some Wolfstar 'fluff' (hehe, get it?). I hope you guys enjoy it! (P.S. this is my first Harry Potter story and I am more than excited.)

Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter

Remus sighs as the back of his head his soft pillow with a pff. He roles his shoulders and his aching muscle begin to relax in the softness and comfort of his mattress. He stairs up at the pale-yellow ceiling, feeling his heavy eyelids droop from pure exhaustion. Finally, after a long couple of days of cleaning up after the immensely over the top part Sirius threw for Remus' birthday, the loft is finally looking like someone that cares lives' here. It had been a hard job, so hard that not even magic could clear it up all at once. Remus and to resort to cleaning by hand! But, finally, the loft is now decent enough for Remus to be able sit in the living room (or stand anywhere) without continuously feeling like he's going to lose his mind. It feels good to not have the large puke stain of Peter Pettigrew staring at you every time you took a shower, or a piece of squid tentacle in the kitchen (he still doesn't know how James even got that). Remus closes his eyes and let's out another reliving sigh. He can finally relax in his own home, and probably take a small nap now that he is finished scrubbing butterbeer and firewhiskey of the walls, and throwing out empty bottles of whatever Sirius got from the Leaky Cauldron.

"Moony! Moony! Come down here quick! I need to show you something!"

Or maybe not.

Remus snaps his eyes back open and groans. He sits up and glares at the opened doorway of the bedroom. Five minutes. All he wanted was a measly five minutes of relaxation time, and some peace and quiet. Just five minutes. And he couldn't even get that. He drags himself out of the warm comfort of his bed. He drags his feet across the carpet as he sulks all the way down the hall of his and Sirius' loft and into the living room where a very giddy looking Sirius Black stands with a basket in hand contain a fluffy blanket and a little bow on top.

Remus eyes the basket and bundle with suspicious. "What've you got there Sirius?"

Sirius looks just about ready to burst with glee the way he's bouncing from foot to foot. Remus would say it's cute if it weren't for how exhausted and annoyed he is. "I know you're still kind of upset that your birthday party got a little out hand." Sirius starts.

"A little?" Remus exclaims. "Only a little? James and Frank Longbottom somehow ended up on the roof with their trousers on their heads, and all the bloody muggle neighbors complained about the noise! And you have the nerve to say a little?"

Sirius scoffs and rolls his eyes. " Alright. Fine. It was fun and all, but it got very out of hand. And I'm sorry about that. I know you wanted something small and intimate and I took it out of hand." Remus nods, maybe halfway accepting the apology and waiting for Sirius to continue. He does his best not to let the remorseful expression Sirius has soften him up too much. "So, I decided to make up for it." He extends the hand holding the basket to Remus. "Happy Birthday."

Remus takes the basket, still eyeing Sirius' very happy smile. The basket is relatively light, making him wonder just what did Sirius go out and get him. He grabs a corner of the blanket and moves it so he can see what lies within.

Remus let's out a gasp, he's eyes growing big at what Sirius did. Contained in the basket, twitching it's little pink nose is a small brownish bunny. Its ears lay against it's back and it looks up once it realizes that the warmth of the blanket disappeared. "Merlin's beard!" Remus looks back at Sirius, all traces of previous annoyance gone from his face. "Sirius, you didn't!"

Sirius, looking rather triumphant, smiles. "I did. Happy birthday." He walks over and plants a kiss on Remus' cheek which he doesn't notice since he's so mesmerized by the small bunny as he picks it up (it's small enough to fit in his hand!). "I know you've wanted one for a while, because yes I do listen to you when you speak," Remus chuckles, "and I figured what better way to say I'm sorry than get you the one thing you've wanted for years? Do you like her? The store own said she was the smallest of her litter, but she looked perfect for you."

Remus can't help the large grin that came on his face as the small bunny nuzzles into his hand. "Of course, I like her! She's perfect! I can't believe you did this." He drops the basket and flings his free arm around Sirius. Sirius wraps both arms around him in response. It's true that Remus has been wanting a small bunny probably since his before his first year at Hogwarts. He's wanted one for years, but knew there was no way he would be able to properly take care of any animal with his lycanthropy. He's never told anyone about his little dream, at least not until his fifth year when he and Sirius became rather close and he started disclosing things to him that he never would to anyone else. He's always thought that Sirius never listened when he said he's always wanted a pet bunny, but this proves otherwise.

However, with the wolfsbane he's been able to acquire, he's more than able to take care of another living thing.

Remus pulls away, eyeing their surroundings curiously. He's now realizing that all Sirius brought was the basket, blanket, and bunny. "Did you get anything else thought? Food, a cage maybe. You know, essentials for taking care of a bunny." But by the way Sirius blanches and his eyes widen, Remus had his answer. "Of course, you didn't."

"Uh, well," Sirius laughs nervously, "you see, I was so excited to get her for you that it might have slipped my mind to get any supplies. It's rather funny if you think about it. Maybe not now, but, you know, in a few years."

Remus gives Sirius an exasperated look. "Sirius!" Of course, his git of a boyfriend would randomly get a bunny and absolutely nothing to take care of it with

"Don't you worry Moony." Sirius grabs his leather jacket. "I'll just go right back to the pet store and pick up anything and everything we'll need to raise a happy and healthy rabbit." He walks over and peaks Remus on the lips. "I'll be back in a jiffy." And not a moment later, he turns on the spot and disapparates.

Remus shake his head as he plops on the plush sofa Dumbledore got them as a house warming gift. The exhaustion from before creeps right back onto him, and he feels like falling asleep all over again. Remus loves Sirius with all his heart, but sometimes the Animagus could really drain what little energy he had. He can't help but wonder what Sirius would do if Remus wasn't around to make sure he didn't forget to brush his teeth, or accidentally go bald. He smirks. Truth is, he's not sure what he'd be doing without Sirius. Remus tiredly looks at the little rabbit in his hands who's nose still twitches very adorably. "I bet you he's buying the whole store at this very moment." Remus says to the bunny. The only response he gets back is a slight twitch of her little ear.

Remus' eyes snap open, startled by the loud crack that vibrated through the house. He rubs his eyes as he looks at Sirius, standing here looking like he indeed bought every rabbit related item in the pet store. Remus didn't even realize he dosed off. How long was Sirius gone anyway?

"Sorry I took so long." Sirius says. "But I think I got everything we're going to need. Some rabbit pellets because she'll have to eat. Plus, food and water bowls, a cage, litter box, hay, a few toys that the lady at the story recommended, a couple of brushes, some rabbit shampoo, rabbit proofing supplies, and Raising a Bunny for Dummies." Sirius holds up the guide book, looking like he just accomplished something amazing.

Remus looks at everything incredulously. "Sirius, we're only raising one rabbit. Not twenty."

"I know, but we need to make sure we have everything we need for the correct upkeeping of a rabbit." Sirius says matter-of-factly. He looks around with furrowed eyebrows. "Where is she anyway?"

"She's right—" Remus turns around to look at the sofa and gasps upon seeing item void of rabbit life. He hurries over to the couch, feeling it's surface frantically for any sign of a fluffy tail. But there was none. Remus looks at Sirius with a panicked expression, and the latter mirrors the expression.

"You lost her?" Sirius shrieks. He walks around the couch and proceeds to look under the rug.

"I had her just a moment ago, right before you left!" Remus checks around the coffee table and the love seat. "I was holding her in my hand and, I don't know, I must have fell asleep?"

"Remus you fell asleep?" Sirius throws his arms in the air. "You were supposed to be watching her!"

Remus nearly hits his head on the dinning table. "Well it couldn't have been for more than ten minutes or so. How long were you gone for?"

It's Sirius' turn to give Remus an incredulous look. "I was gone for an hour."

"You spent an hour looking for supplies? Did you stop at a pub too or something?"

"Listen I was trying to make sure I had everything I needed and was well prepared for this. Meanwhile you let our new bunny out of your supervision for a whole hour!"

"Well I'm sorry that I was tired from having to clean the whole house after that absurd party you threw!"

"That was a great party and you know it!"

"There was a hippogriff in the living room! And I still haven't got a clue where it is now!"

"Exactly! A great party!"

"Sirius Orion Black I swear on Merlin's—"

"Look! Behind you!"

Remus spins around, spotting the potted plant in the corner of the room. Sure enough, a small brown fluff ball is nibbling on the long stem off their plant. Both men sigh in relief and rush over to the small bunny, Sirius picking her up delicately.

"Oh, thank heavens." He says, holding her close to his chest.

Remus scratches the top of her soft head. "Don't ever scare us like that again. Let's not ever let her out of our sight again Pads."

Sirius nods. "Agreed." The walk over to the couch, their entire argument forgotten. "We need to come up with a name for her."

"How about Flower?" Remus says after a moment, thinking of how the bunny gravitated toward the plants in the corner (it would sound weird if her name was 'Plant' so Flower would do).

"Flower." Sirius repeats, testing out the name. He nods, grinning with approval. "I like it. Flower it is." The two proceed to coddle and play with Flower, watching her hop around and following close behind her to make sure she doesn't get lost.

They eventually put Flower in her cage and spend the rest of the day bunny proofing the apartment, moving around furniture, and pushing cords and wires out of the way so there would be no chance of Flower choking or electrocuting herself. The pick a decent spot for her food and water bowl, and a spot for her cage and litter box. Sirius was set on keeping her in the cage so they could prepare dinner, but of course Remus objected.

"She looks so sad and lonely in there Paddy. Can I take her out for a while? Please?" He sticks out his bottom lip and makes his eyes look bigger and sadder. Sirius doesn't know whether to shove him or kiss him relentlessly. He ends up giving in and Remus opens the cage and lets out Flower, who seems more than happy for the freedom.

And this proves to be a great mistake.

The small bunny moves around a lot. She didn't stay in one place for more than ten seconds before trying to explore every corner of their loft. Sirius even tried putting her in the middle of the couch with pillows around her, but within 20 seconds she was off the couch and headed to the bathroom, with Sirius quick on her tail. It was honestly exhausting, especially since Sirius did most of the chasing to allow Remus to make dinner. Sirius tried putting her back in her cage without Remus noticing but two minutes later Remus was complaining about how miserable she looked. So, a begrudged Sirius proceeded to carry Flower on her shoulder until dinner was ready (he promptly put Flower back in her cage and dared Remus to argue with him).

And then there was the potty training thing. Of course they couldn't potty train Flower in a day. They just got her and plus, she's a baby still. It would take time. But an unpotty trained animal is still very frustrating. Sirius tried his best to get her to go in the litterbox, but Flower didn't seem interested in using it in the slightest. Twice she used the bathroom on the carpet, causing Remus to go into a frenzy (which he got over quickly after looking at her adorable little face). Of course, with a quick flick of his wand, it was clean, but still. It would be nice if the bunny could learn to use the litter box and not make a mess.

And speaking of messes, why hadn't anyone told Sirius that bunnies would be so incredibly messy. Sirius, as per the pet shop owners directions, put some hay and straw in Flowers cage. But somehow the bunny had managed to spread the majority of the hay all over the floor, along with bits of her food pellets. Sirius was more than frustrated at this point, and Remus had to try hard to stifle a laugh. It's what he gets for making such a rash and spontaneous decision without at least talking about it. And for throwing an incredibly messy party.

Finally, it's time to call it a night. Remus relieves Sirius of bunny duty and places a very sleepy looking Flower in her cage. Remus follows the exhausted Sirius to their room where Sirius literally collapses right in the middle of their bed with the loudest groan he's ever made. He can now sympathize with Remus. He can only imagine how the werewolf must have felt after having to clean the whole house. He wonders whether it was a bad idea to adopt a bunny, but remembering the look on Remus' face lets him know that he made the right decision. Still though. It's tiring having to run after a pet all day. Sirius doesn't look up at the sound of Remus chuckling from above him, but tries his best to disappear into the plushness of their bedsheets and mattress.

"You alright there Padfoot?" Remus raises an eyebrow in amusement.

"Never better."

Remus laughs as he tries to shove a heavy Sirius over to make room for him. "Would you move over you git!"

"Can't move. Too tired."

"Oh, well welcome to my world. Now come on and move." He gives Sirius a more effective shove and Sirius finally moves to his side of the bed.

Remus climbs in under the cover. "Being a father isn't all it's cut out to be, is it?"

"It's so much worse than I thought it would be!" Sirius moans, sounding more childlike than he should. Remus just laughs. "I dunno how James and Lily are going to do it. It's hard enough taking care of an animal, but a child will probably be a nightmare."

"Well it's a good thing we don't have a child, isn't it?" Remus says pointedly. Sirius doesn't respond.

They lay there, in the comforting silence for a moment, the only sound coming from the ticking of the clock over their bed. Finally Remus breaks the silence with a sudden thought. "Would you ever consider it though?"

"Hmm?" Sirius looks startled by Remus' question since he was dosing off. He blinks and turns to look at Remus. "What? What would I consider?"

"…Maybe having a child…" Remus' voice is quieter than it usually is.

"Moony do you need me to explain to you every way in which that's physically impossible?"

Remus playfully punches Sirius in the arm as the latter laughs. "You know damn well that I meant by adoption."

"Yes, yes I know." Sirius makes a show of pretending to dry invisible laugh induced tears. "Come on Moony. Lighten up. Laugh a little. Anyway, yeah I've thought about it before. But don't you think we're a bit too young to have children? I mean, you just turned 20."

Remus shrugs. "Lily and James are about to have one."

"Well, yeah, but that's a bit different." Sirius shifts onto his side so he could face Remus. Remus does the same. "That was unintentional and unplanned. I don't think either one of them planned on getting pregnant so soon, especially with the war going on. If we were to adopt a baby, it would be at a better time, and something that we both know that we're ready for, and not a surprise."

"Like how the bunny was a surprise?" Remus smirks.

"Quit being so cheeky." Sirius pouts and kisses the laugh right off Remus' lips. They pull away after a moment. "How about this. Let's focus on raising a bunny before we focus on raising a human being. Let's try to get the hang of this first and gain some responsibility. And then, once we both know we're ready and able to handle it, and once everything in the world has settled down, we'll talk more about having a child. How does that sound?"

Remus nods as he snuggles into Sirius' broad chest. "Hmm, I guess that sounds good. There's no rush, right? We have plenty of time for kids."

Sirius nods as he wraps an arm around Remus, bringing him closer. "Yup my love." He whispers into his hair. "Plenty of time."

Except they don't but let's not burst any bubbles.
