Summary: Kara is rescued from New Caprica, but now her mind is the one holding her captive. She can barely sit in the cockpit without feeling claustrophobic, how can she cope with being a welcomed hero back on Galactica?
It was the voices she noticed first. She'd only ever had Kacey and Leoben to talk to, something was different. She could hear many muffled voices, all shouting and stomping. But it was the touch that roused her. The way he wrapped his arm around her neck, as if waiting for her to accept his proposals.
She wanted to snap his fingers in half. She knew, if you did it in the right spot, you were in pain for a long time. His fingers reached for her throat again.
"We got a pulse on this one!" The voice surprised her. It was different, it was female. But those hands, they were on her again. She threw herself up and backwards, knocking hard into the person who had touched her. The movement made her dizzy, probably the result of her concussion. Barely able to see, she bolted out the door and down the grey hallway.
"Frak, she's running! Someone grab her before she gives us away!" Kara scrambled, leaning heavily on the walls. Strong arms encircled her, and she felt bile rise in her throat. She was back in his arms, back being his prisoner. A strangled cry escaped her throat as she struggled against her captor.
"Gods... Kara?" His hands were on her face, tilting it up into the light. It was so birght she couldn't see, squinting to look at her captor.
"Sam?" She managed to croak out. Gods, this had to be a trick. A sick, sadistic trick that only the Cylon bastards could play. She struggled again, but his powerful grip held her in place. She hugged her fiercely, pressing his face into her hair.
"We looked for you for so long, I though you were..." His voice trailed off. Kara half heard him, but it was like his voice was coming from underwater. His face slanted and became fuzzy. The blackness that had been eating at the edge of her vision came in full force to devour everything.
Author's Note:: Alright this is admittedly short, but I have some ideas for upcoming chapters. I've started watching all the available episodes on DVD (I didn't start until season 3 was over), and I found a great website with all of the season three episodes, so I'm pretty caught up. This plotline intrigued me, so please read. No pressures to review, I know you're all reading it. :)
