I've always loved her. That first day she walked into the office, my breath was literally takin' away. But the time we could have been together are long gone.

Chris Larabee. Who would have known he would marry again? But he found a second partner in life, a beautiful woman who loved him despite his nasty temper. But despite that fault Chris is a good man, one of the few that have earned my respect. She deserves nothing less then the man standing nervously beside Vin.

The light that shined in her eyes was amazing as she walked down the aisle. Buck Wilmington was the one to lead her down the aisle while the rest of us stood with Chris as grooms men; Vin the best man.

I have never in my four year association with our leader seen so much emotion play over his face. The two of them had been through the good and the bad to get where they are now. I can not help to think what if it me in Chris' place, peeling the veil off her angelic face, to say "I do", to actually think of her as my wife.

But she's Chris' wife now, Mr & Mrs. Chris Larabee. There is such happiness in both of their faces as they danced across the floor. The dark brooding man I had known for is gone. It's her smile that as made it so. It literally brightens up the room.

The rest of my friends have always claimed my poker face is unreadable. I think it's about to be put to the test as she approached, her sweet perfume engulfing my senses.

"Ezra, aren't you going to ask the bride to dance?"

Of course I will ask. As I take her delicate hand and lead her to the dance floor, I promised myself to never tell her how I feel. I will always love you, I say to myself, always.

The End
