SECOND CHANCES

SECOND CHANCES

Part 2 (The Reunion)

~ * ~

I dedicate this to Jae! ~ You know who you are ~ and to the people I love! To Gen., Joyce and Kendal one of my bestest friends ever! And to some people who will kill me if I mention their names, but I do this even thought they think my story writing is a waste of time! This is so not and I am following one of my dreams so there! You know who you are! This is starting to sound like the ARIA awards… hehehe

Alanna looked at her Grandmother and started laughing.

"Child, this is something you could laugh at. It's assigned by the Gods and they would curse you for mocking their business like that," Maude quickly said as she made the sign against evil on her chest. Alanna ignored her and carried her bucket of water into the house.

"Alanna dear is that you?" it was her mother. A thin woman of the age of thirty came out. Her looks resembled Alanna's greatly from the long ringlets of copper hair to the mystifying violet eyes.

"Yes mother. I'm just bringing the water in," Alanna replied before putting the bucket down and walking to her mother. They had always been really close.

"Dear, is that your grandmother outside? Tell her to come in she'll catch her death in that cold," she said before getting on with her cooking. Alanna skipped outside but still found Maude staring into the blazing fire. Alanna sighed.

~ Meanwhile in Tortal ~

Jonathon of Corus stared at the blank of piece of paper in front of him. Beside him Myles of Queenscove shook his head.

"Jonathon you have been staring at that for hours when are you actually going to start writing something on it? Your father is going to wring my neck if you make no progress in your studies," Myles sighed deeply.

"Well I can't really study properly because I have been like a prisoner in this room. I never go out except for my meals and short meetings. What I really need to is to go somewhere for a period of time and find myself. I heard that Galla was a nice holiday place," Jon explained with a twinkle in his eyes. Myles knew there was no talking him out of things when his mind was set on it.

~ Back to Alanna ~

Alanna clutched her sword around her bloodstained hands. The smell of decaying bodies floated in the misty air. She walked deeper into the woods finally arrived at small fountain. It must have been at least a century old, mould covered it but water still ran from the top. She bent down to have a drink but froze. The fresh running water turned into a pool of dark-red blood. Alanna instinctively turned around and saw the Black God, beside him as a casket. Lying inside was the dead Body of her King. - Alanna breathed deeply as she realised where she was. She was in her bedroom.

Alanna quickly got up and walked to her balcony. The night breeze soon calmed her nerves. The stars were at their brightest and it brought a smile to her face.

A carriage stopped at the motel across the street from Alanna's house. Two gentlemen came out. One was old but friendly looking and the other was dark and handsome. He caught her eye and bowed before being pushed into the motel by his fatherly companion. Alanna chuckled softly to herself. She drifted back to her room already forgetting the disturbing nightmare.
