I should have known better
Disclaimer: I own nothing and I'm not earning any money with it.
Warnings: romance, sap, songfic, angst, yaoi/shonen-ai
Pairings: Youzo Morisaki x Mamuro Izawa
Summary: Youzo reflects on his relationship with Izawa.
A.N.: I first wanted to use the song for 'Get him back', but than this idea popped into into my head (thanks plot-bunnies for that -.-), but probably it wasn't so bad after all.
For: PucchykoGirl, because she gave me the idea for that pairing.
I should have known better
"I should have known better…" inwardly Youzo Morisaki flinched.
Why, why had he said yes to that stupid karaoke-night with his friends? Why?
Yes, he should have known better.
It wasn't like he hated to sing or that he couldn't sing (like Genzo), no, he should have known, that he would end up singing a romantic song, something soapy.
He concentrated on the song
"To lie to someone as beautiful as you…", he flinched inwardly again.
He could feel the looks of his teammates on his back, stunned by his singing and wondering for whom, he was singing that song or why.
The truth was the song was for himself from Izawa.
It was his way to say "forgive me. I won't hurt you anymore. ". He focused more on the song. Better not think about why Izawa wanted to say sorry.
"Can you forgive me?…"
He finished the song as if nothing had happened and the song meant nothing to him.
With a transfixed face he left the stage, not waiting for his applause.
He needed to get away. Now. Before everyone would see him cry.
With a sob he sank behind his steering wheel of his car (he nearly had run to it) and started to cry.
Izawa was such an idiot. He should have known it after the first time he had betrayed him; that he couldn't be truthful. But he had forgiven him again and again, because he loved him. He had forgiven Izawa everything with a broken heart.
He had questioned himself from time to time, why he allowed Izawa to play with him? Why he forgave him everything.
He had known that Izawa would go on betraying him and broke his heart again.
But this time, he would not forgive him. No. Izawa had betrayed him too often. No matter how much he would ask for forgiveness and promise to never do it again. He couldn't take it anymore.
He wiped his tears away and started his car. It would be hard, but he knew that he would make it.
Izawa was an idiot and he didn't need him.
He drove away from the karaoke bar.
Izawa saw only the red of his back lights.
The end
