Yeah, I suddenlt thought to myself " Hey, let's write something!" in the middle of geometry, and this is the finished product. I have no idea why I felt like writing something so emo.
It had been three years since the tragic accident.
And yet, still, she felt the pain that had come with it. Three years was short when it came to tragedies.
She normally bore the pain quite well, but today was different. Today was that day.
She smiled at the torn picture next to her bedside. She looked in the mirror at her scarred eyes, a constant reminder of the tragedy.
And then she cried. But she wouldn't let herself cry for too long. If she did, she might never stop. He never would have wanted that.
She dried her eyes and made her way out the door. It was bright and beautiful outside, an odd contrast to how she felt inside.
She walked through the streets, her head down. No one bothered her.
She still had to train today. For his sake,if not hers. She had promised.
She arrived at the training ground. Things had changed so much since then. Her teammate no longer bounced around with joy. No longer did her sensei cry about youth. Now, he cried about death.
She had become great, better than she ever would've hoped to be, but it was hollow, because he wasn't there to share it with her.
It was wrong, what had happened. He'd been so strong. He shouldn't have died so easily, after having overcome so many obstacles.
He shouldn't have died while she lived on, to become better, to learn from her mistakes.
She wished he was still here, to train with her until her lungs burned and her side ached.
But nothing would change the fact that he was gone.
