Viral's slanted eyes widened. "But you're a monkey – a human."
Simon smiled. "Is that such a bad thing?" he said, and immediately hugged a cringing Viral.
Viral slowly realised that the bodies of monkeys were pleasantly warm. His own arms rose to complement the hug.
"Hah!" Simon said triumphantly, and pressed his lips to Viral's.
Viral did not understand the nature of human kissing, and was quite shocked to find Simon's tongue in his mouth. How reckless of the Supreme Commander! Did he want Viral to bite his tongue off?
Then a polite cough sounded. It was Rossiu, whose furrowed brow and upturned nose wordlessly reprimanded Simon for this behaviour. Accosting lesser beings, Rossiu's eyes said condescendingly.
"Come Simon," Rossiu said, and Viral was crestfallen.
But he was not entirely disappointed. Simon had winked at him before leaving.
