{Hello! This is going to be a collection of drabbles I write on my Leonidas RP blog on tumblr. His battle partner is a girl named Maria, and he is a Darkus Bakugan.
Disclaimer: I don't own Bakugan, Leonidas, etc, but I do own my OC, Maria}
"Wait, what do you mean, 'leave Earth?' " Leonidas asked, perplexed. The idea of leaving Earth had never occurred to him before, and as the others sat and talked about how much they would miss Earth, but were happy to be leaving, he felt more and more lost.
Preyas laughed at his question at first, not believing that Leonidas could be so ignorant. The other just stared at him, until finally, Gorem spoke.
"Leonidas…you do know that we're going back to Vestroia after this is all over, right? We aren't staying on Earth forever," he explained slowly.
Leonidas was even more shocked at hearing this. Not…staying? It was unthinkable. But Earth was…
"But Earth is my home," he said, sounding like a lost child then. "I like it here." Earth was where he learned to be a friend, and how to trust, and how to fight to protect, not destroy.
Tigrerra spoke up next. "No, Vestroia is your home. Vestroia is the home of all Bakugan, even you. Besides, do you want to be stuck as a tiny golf ball the rest of your life?"
Leo sat there for the longest time, mulling it over. It was long after everyone had left when he had come to a conclusion. He held the words close to him, not telling anyone the decision he had made. He waited and waited, and when Wavern finally noticed how quiet he had been lately, he told the other Bakugan what he had been holding in the past few days.
"I wouldn't mind being trapped as a golf ball if it meant I got to stay with Maria on Earth. I don't care about the lush forests, crystal clears waters, and warmth of Vestroia. Earth has those things too. Not as many, and probably not as beautiful, but I'm happy here. I don't want to go to Vestroia," Leonidas explained.
Half of the Bakugan seemed to understand, the other half thought he was crazy. Wavern nodded, understanding that he had no desire to go to a place where he wouldn't fit in; outside of the Bakugan of the Brawlers, he was still treated as a freak. And now, after the final battle with Vladitor, everyone knew where he was from.
Gorem and Drago understood the reluctance to leave Maria- both of them didn't want to leave behind their battle partners either. None of the Bakugan did, but those three seemed especially close to their Brawlers.
At the end of the day, though, Leonidas had convinced the others that this was what was best for him. And when all the other Bakugan on Earth began to glow and returned home…
Leo stayed.
