"Hey, Ian, I'm just going to go take a shower. Tell me if Suki or C.J. replies," Gabe said on his way out the door.
"Ok," I said just as the door closed. I tapped something into my net book and sighed when I heard the door open and close again. "What'd you forget this time?"
"Tsk, tsk. And here I expected you to know it was me."
I was on my feet in an instant, closing the lid of the net book to hide my search. "What do you want, Ray?" I growled, seeing my former roommate pick up Señor Guapo and look at the sock monkey in distaste before tossing it back onto Gabe's bed.
"Nothing much. Just to test you," Ray answered, slipping his hands in his pockets as he walked toward me. "I want to know how accurate your power is. Or in other words, can you see everything?"
"Of course I can't see everything. What kind of stupid question is that?" I snapped.
He shrugged. "I was just curious as to how it works. Does it work better when you're calm…?" He stepped into my personal space, making it so I had to press my back against the wall to avoid touching him. "Or when you're on your toes? Perhaps feisty would be best." His voice was silky smooth, making me extremely uncomfortable. He was getting closer and I had nowhere to go.
Before I could blink, he pinned me to the wall with his body, one powerful hand holding my hands above my head. His smirk only made my anger burn. I didn't have time for games when I should be concentrating on the escape plan.
"How much can you see coming, Archer?" he asked, his mouth centimeters away from mine.
"I can infer enough, thanks," I said, struggling against his hold.
"We both know it's pointless for you to struggle, so let me have my fun and I'll be gone."
"No, you're sick if you think I'll just let you waltz in here and kiss me."
"You could at least pretend to be into it. Maybe keep an open mind."
"I'm not gay," I said in annoyance.
"We'll see," he said simply before pressing his lips gently to mine.
His tenderness threw me. It caught me so off guard that I let my composure slip along with my jaw and he was inside before I could realize what happened.
I struggled against him with my mouth and body. I turned my head away but he only caught my lips again with a dip of his head.
"Give in, Archer," he whispered, pulling back only enough to speak clearly.
I didn't have a chance to respond as he kissed me again. I wanted him to let me go. My will was bending no matter how much I wished it wouldn't. My whole life was run by impulses, why would this moment be any different? A tiny voice had spoken up in my mind- a voice I didn't even know existed. It was temptation…the temptation just to try it, to know what it was like.
"Stop struggling," he hissed.
"No, let me go," I said.
"Do I look stupid to you?"
I bent my head to kiss his neck. "No," I whispered.
His grip immediately slackened, whether by choice or shock I wasn't sure. But my arms were around his neck in an instant, loose and gentle as we kissed again. This time it was mutual and the fighting for dominance instead of refusal.
"No, I didn't see this coming," I said, tilting my head as he kissed down my neck.
He chuckled. "Good. I didn't want you to."
