Drabble 1: Test
She gazed upon the gathering children who ranged from ages five to eighteen. It was time. Nodding to the family elders, she prowled around the children, sniffing each one before gazing into each child's eyes. After the forty-first, her body sagged. Wise eyes dimmed with disappointment. Yet, her whiskers twitched. A tantalizing scent drifted through the air. Jerking her head, her eyes honed in on a baby just months old. As she stalked closer to the newborn, the hesitant mother held out her son to the ancient beast who sniffed and licked the baby. Opening his expressive eyes, the baby stared at the weapon beast who peered back. Taking the child into her claws, the beast screeched with joy. The next weapon beast master has been chosen!
