Reviews are more than welcome! Enjoy! ^_^

Cries.

Blood.

Screams.

Rain.

Thunder.

...Death.

All of this happened in the blink of an eye. Everything. One moment the enemy was down. The next, his hand is in the chest of one of the ninja. Screams follow. Horrible screams. Screams of desperation. Screams of sadness. Screams of the lost souls. Knees dropped hard on the ground as the mud splashed in the victims face. Blood streamed in the tiny flows of water coming from under the fallen victim. Eventually it would lead to a lake, causing it to turn a dark murky red. And it was all his fault. It was all his fault for not being there, it was all his fault for running in before getting a good idea of what he may be up against.

All his fault.

His fault for not being there when she needed him the most. When..he needed her the most. He fell fore ward on his hands holding himself up, water poured down his face and his arms. Lightning flashed behind him as the thunder roared at him for being so stupid and careless. Tears streamed his eyes. Is this all he could do? Cry. Just sit there and cry. He was so stupid and weak. So naive and blind. He shut his eyes, not being able to take it. He heard voices, but they seemed miles away to him.

"Naruto!," the voice yelled.

No. He wouldn't answer. He would not look up to the people that trusted him to keep her safe. This was his only job, and he managed to screw it up. Him. The Hokage wannabe. How was he supposed to protect a whole village if he couldn't even protect his friend. His comrade. His victim. Opening his eyes, tears still rushing he slowly looked over. There she was, covered in mud on the ground. Eyes rolled back in her head and mouth open with blood dripping from the side. He cringed. He looked at what she had in her hand, his head band.

There were tiny dots of blood on the silver part with the symbol. Her hand held it tight, like t was a life line. But it wouldn't save her now. No. Sakura would save her. He looked up and saw Sakura over her, healing as fast as possible. She had tears in her eyes as well, she was yelling to her left. Looking in that direction he saw three figures running off in the direction the enemy had gone.

Kiba.

Shino.

TenTen.

He clenched the dirt in his hands. Looking up he saw a figure fall to his knees and scream, scream like nothing he had ever heard before. Finally his ears started working again.

"Hinata! Hey! Hinata! Wake up! Please! Hinata I beg of you! Wake up! You can't be! Don't be! Pleasee! HINATAAAAA!" the scream echoed throughout the woods. Thundering following after. Neji fell over top of her face and hugged it. Naruto heard him sobbing and saying something, but he couldn't make it out. He looked at Sakura who's peircing green eyes were stabbing right into his soul. Tears covered her face. She had several bruises on her face as well as a cut on her cheek.

Sasuke came up from behind her and put his hands on her shoulders. He leaned in and whispered into her ear. She nodded and held in the sobs. Sasuke looked at him. What was he staring at him for? Why did he have to be better than him? Why? Why? WHY?!

Naruto looked back down and clenched his fist.

Hinata...Forgive me..
