Her lips were so soft, and her skin was warm under his fingertips. Her sweet little freckled nose nudged his, causing him to smile slightly. He pulled her closer, wrapping her silky curls around his fingers. She made him feel like there was a cage of butterflies in his stomach, and she made him nervous and embarrassed , but is some strange way, she made him feel confidant, like he could do no wrong with her by his side. In short, it felt positively perfect to be with her.
She pulled away slightly, breaking the wonderful connection. She glanced up at him, his shirt still crumpled tightly in her fists. Her face alone made him want to smile like crazy.
"You're a terrible kisser," she told him frankly.
Jack was stunned. Was she serious? What was he doing wrong?
"Oh. Sorry," he mumbled, untangling his hands from her hair. Passion seemed not to be his strongest suit.
"No no, it's okay," Red smiled, releasing her grip on his shirt and wrapping her arms around his neck. Jack looked at her in confusion. He had been sure that she would scold him for his lack of experience and refuse to kiss him ever again. Which would be really, really bad.
"Luckily for you,"she said gleefully, "I'm really good. So I can always help you get better. Like right now."
There certainly are times when it's really good to be really bad at something.
Well, I suppose that was that. I hope you enjoyed this little filler fic while I'm hard at work on the main ones! Much love!
