Summary: Ashley Juergans just finished her under-grad at Howard University and is back home to decide on her next move. What happens when Ashley experiences a life changing event, one of which no one would expect?
The characters might be a little different than they are in the series but hey, I guess that's why they call it fan fiction :P I'm also sorry if some of my vocabulary is not formal, I'm a little rusty. :P Enjoy!
Epilogue
Ashley's P.O.V
I was laying in bed, reading Hamlet, a personal favourite of mine. I was home after graduating from college last week, I went to Howard University. I came back to be with my family after all this time, well, to be with my nephew and little brother. Mom and dad both got sick and are living in a nursing home, Amy got the house and takes care of Robbie, she still shares custody of John with Ricky. Amy is 24; she never did get into Julliard so she just went to a community college and got a (very well paid) job. John is and adorable little 8-year-old boy, he goes to the local public school, he's in the second grade. Robbie is 7, he is also in the second grade because he skipped a grade, and he and John are in the same class. I heard my cell phone vibrate on the wood of my bedside table.
-*answers it* Hello?
? : Ashley, it's me.
-Hi mom.
Anne: You need to get down to the hospital now. Amy and Ricky were just in a car crash.
-Oh my god, I'll be right there. *hangs up*
I threw on a sweater, a pair of jeans and sneakers and ran out to my car.
*1 Hour Later*
I ran into the waiting room. I saw mom, dad, Courtney (Ricky's girlfriend) and Ben (he and Amy got married 5 years ago), all looking worried. Mom and dad came to hug me.
Anne & George: Ashley! *hugs her*
-*hugs back* Hi mom, dad. How are you, how are they?
Anne: We're fine, kind of in panic mode though.
George: And the doctors are still checking Amy and Ricky, they should be out soon, the doctors I mean.
-That's good
Anne: Who's looking after John and Robbie?
-Adrian, I called her then dropped them off then drove here. I'll call her when we can see them.
Anne: Okay.
We waited for twenty minutes before the doctor came out.
Doctor: Amy Juergans and Ricky Underwood?
We all stood up.
Anne: We're Amy's parents *gestures to herself and George*
-I'm her sister
Ben: I'm her husband
Courtney: And I'm Ricky's girlfriend. Are they okay?
Doctor: I am so sorry, we did everything we could
-Wait, what are you talking about?
Doctor: Amy had a serious concussion and Ricky had a lot of internal bleeding.
George: So what are you saying?
Dad had a head injury a few years back, he can't think properly
Doctor: Amy and Ricky *sighs* are dead.
