Late in the night, a slender figure wound her way throughout the trees. Not a sound was made as she stepped on the twigs and dead leaves. It was if she was a ghost. Her complexion seemed to agree with that statement. Pale yet glowing skin, coal colored eyes and pitch hair. The flowing ivory dress trailed off into delicate material that convinced one to think of mist. But of course she was as real as the family sleeping in the nearest house which happened to be what she was leaving. She wasn't seeking refuge in another place because of some family incident. She was looking for someone. She didn't consider him as something like most people would because time had taught her that he was another being sent by Him in another form. The most poignant part is the fact that people thought him to be a serial killer. They fainted on sight and most of the time, died from fright. Yet she wasn't afraid; she was entranced. Mystified by the unusual being that roamed the earth in a formal attire though his figure wasn't as typical (at least compared to humans). She spied him in the thick foliage and clumps of trees though as she neared him, he disappeared. Inside, she smiled but kept a neutral face. It was their usual game of hide-and-seek. She would wonder throughout the woods and he would escape her vision every time. Eventually, the girl was led to a clearing in the woods of which the light of the full moon was cast upon. He came from the trees behind her and gently plucked her from the ground, not unlike how one would pick up a china doll from the ground. Cradling her thin body (of which was pressed affectionately against his chest), his old heart beat in synch with hers, ridding itself of the cobwebs that had accumulated in the area due to centuries of disuse. Together, two lonely hearts became one and all the love throughout history was shown between these two figures; a yang to her yin, the devil to the angel, the other half to make a whole.
