AN: I blame tumblr for this
Natasha, Thor, Clint, Tony, Steve, Bruce, and Agent were all sitting in the living room on the communal floor of the Avengers mansion. They seemed pretty sad because they lost a fight against Loki, who was now the supreme ruler of the universe.
Or at least Loki would have been if it weren't for... the mysterious force.
But that's not important right now.
"So, I have important paper work to do back at SHIELD, so I should get going," said the son of Coul.
Agent Coulson left the mansion, wanting to get away from the freaky Avengers. Except Steve. He wanted to wrap Steve in his arms and then take him on the kitchen floor. But with Steve comes the others, and Coulson just did not want them. Especially Natasha. She scares him.
But this story isn't about the man whose first name is Agent and totally not Phil. This story is about the rest of the Avengers team. Well, kind of.
Anyway, back at the mansion, everyone was talking.
"So, Natasha, with the 4th of July coming up, I bet you're feeling a bit awkward, you know, with the whole Russian thing," insisted Tony.
"Not at all Stark, in fact, I love July 4th. What other country celebrates their independence with drunk people blowing things up?"
"Well, I think I'll skip the festivities this year," injected Bruce.
"Festivities? We're going to have a party?" asked Steve.
"Hell yeah we're going to have a party!" exclaimed Clint.
"Will there be singing and merriment?" asked Thor.
"Of course big guy! And Steve will even be the center of attention!" explained Tony.
"Me? Why me?" asked Steve.
"Because," explained Clint, "You're Captain America and this is the most American day ever. So the most American superhero has to be the center of attention."
"I'm not the most American superhero ever," Steve tried to explain.
At that very moment, Loki teleported into the room and turned Steve into a bald eagle.
"You are now!" laughed Loki.
"Brother! How did you get away from the mysterious force that was mentioned in the beginning of the story?" asked Thor.
"Easily. I threw my fangirls into the heart of the force and it disappeared."
Everyone in the room laughed, even Steve, which was impressive because he is now a bald eagle.
And Loki's spell was never reversed and so Steve had to stay a bald eagle forever.
