Sometimes she wonders if he was just a dream – his soft kisses and gentle touches, the way he whispered in her ears with his low melodic voice, the way his hair felt like silk in between her fingers as she ran through them, and most of all, the warmth of his body solely heating her pale chilled ones.
Sometimes she wonders if he was just a dream, as she'd wake up every morning without him next to her, leaving her heart to enfeeble as she touches the cold empty space next to her, leaving her to curl in her sheet, his used pillow in her embrace, inhaling what was left of him.
Sometimes she wonders if he was just a dream.
