Pretty Green Eyes
A/N Hi everyone! I am quite getting in to writing short drabbles for each character around a topic. I am afraid that they aren't proper drabbles because for some of the characters what I want to say is less than 100 words and for some it is more. The title is because I was listening to Ultrabeat's Pretty Green eyes as I was writing this.
Oh yeah! I don't own anything that you recognise from Harry Potter, all of it belongs to JK Rowling who I am very, very jealous of.
Loves ya xx
Those green eyes were famous.
Severus
With a pang, Severus Snape looked into those deep green eyes. Fury boiled inside him. Those eyes were living proof that she preferred him. He was living proof of his most terrible mistake. He automatically hated the boy, but not as much as he hated himself.
James
He did not fully appreciate those eyes until it was too late. The first thing that James Potter noticed about Lily Evans was her sassy attitude, her beautiful red hair and her sharp wit.
Over the years that they shared, he began to become mesmerised by those startlingly fresh green eyes and he realised that he was the luckiest man on earth.
Their son had her eyes, her exact eyes. But he could not fully appreciate them before it was too late.
Sirius
The eyes to Sirius rekindled his protective side. He loved his friends so much and his biggest regret was not insisting on being their secret keeper. He would have protected them.
He needed to protect those eyes, not let them fade from this world once more.
He saw the newspaper, saw the rat, and knew that Harry needed protecting.
Ginny
When Ginny looked into those eyes, she felt her knees start to shake and her heart accelerate. Even after 19 years of being together, they still took her breath away.
But there was a time when she thought that he was unattainable. Why would the famous and brilliant Harry Potter ever look at poor Ginny Weasley? But 5 years later he kissed her and they had never let go of each other since.
Now she looked into those green eyes with sadness, her son had inherited his exact eyes. She watched as the train rounded the corner, watched those eyes shining with excitement. She knew that this day was coming, but it didn't make it any easier.
Remus
Remus looked into those eyes and found acceptance.
He was a werewolf, but that didn't stop those eyes embracing him for what was on the outside, rather than the monster within. To him those eyes were comfort and kindness.
The eyes indicated something more profound than simple friendship; they indicated a greatness that had nothing to do with power, but of spirit.
Dobby
To Dobby the eyes always meant freedom.
Their master had freed him when he was enslaved worse than any house elf before. He had worked in a house where he was beaten, starved and neglected. It was not the house elf's way to complain, but Dobby needed a way out.
The last time Dobby saw those eyes he was being freed from this world.
Lily
Lily thought that she had become sick of looking into those eyes. She saw them every time she looked into the mirror or saw pictures of herself.
Then, when her son was born he had those eyes. And she knew that she was wrong, she would never be sick of looking into those eyes, they were perhaps the most beautiful things that she had ever seen.
All she ever wanted was to watch those eyes grow up and see the world. But those precious moments were taken from her too soon and she saw those green eyes fly away from her in a flash of acid green light.
Those green eyes symbolised her love for her son. A love that would protect him.
