My name is Bella and this is how I fell for the Just King.
"Bella!" Father called. I rushed to his office.
"Yes, Father?" I inquired.
"Your mother and I are sending you to Narnia because King Edmund is looking for a wife. You will be going tomorrow morning." Father stated, not even glancing up from his work. I sighed.
"Yes, Father." I replied. I turned to leave to go to my room. When I entered my room, Mother was seated on my bed. Mother spent the rest of the day reminding me of manners and such. She then gave me a dress with a low neckline.
"Mother, I'm not wearing this." I said, dropping it onto my bed. Mother shoved it into my arms.
"Yes, you are. I am coming tomorrow morning to get you ready." Mother answered. I nodded meekly and followed her to the dining hall for dinner. As usual it was a short, silent dinner. I quickly went upstairs to bed.
The next morning, Mother woke me up and got me ready. I grabbed a black cloak since I was going early in the morning. I begged my parents to let me ride there horseback and they reluctantly agreed. I had two guards. I kept us moving fast-paced, so we arrived in Narnia in about two hours. The horses were whisked away and I was escorted to what I assume was the throne room. The Kings, Queens and King Peter's betrothed were waiting.
"Lady Bella." A servant announced. I flipped the hood off my cloak.
"Welcome Lady Bella." King Peter greeted me. I curtsied softly.
"Hello, your Majesties." I answered. Queen Lucy seemed to be bursting with energy.
"Lady Bella, you shall be escorted to your room by King Edmund. The evening meal is in an hour's time." King Peter informed me. The dark-haired man stood from his throne and led me out of the room.
"So Lady Bella, what are your interests?" King Edmund asked.
"I mostly spend time reading and riding my horse, Star. Although I have an interest in sword-fighting. My parents refuse to let me try because it's not lady-like." I mocked my parents. King Edmund chuckled and we stopped in front of a door.
"Um, you'll be staying here. Queen Lucy is across the hall, three doors down. Julianna is across the hall." King Edmund informed me.
"Thank you, your majesty." I replied and turned to go open the door.
"Hey, if you want I could teach you how to sword-fight." King Edmund offered. I spun around to face him. I smiled softly.
"Sure, your majesty. I'd like that." I agreed. I then entered my room and gently closed the door.
