His Face
Percy Jackson never understood why Demigods celebrated Christmas or Chanukah.
If one of their parents was a god why did they celebrate religious holidays?
Maybe it was because of their other parent's religion but even then why did the Demigods have to celebrate it?
Now he was sounding like Annabeth.
Speaking of his girlfriend thats why he was in the jewelry shop, shopping for a gift for her for Christmas.
They were twenty now and living together, and he worked a good job so the first thought was jewelry for his beautiful girlfriend.
He knew he wanted to give her a necklace of some sort.
A charm bracelet would just get in her way when she was drawing up blueprints.
He already had a ring hidden in his bedside table, he was just waiting for the right time.
He knew she wouldn't like something flashy, just something that was from him, from his heart.
When he saw the necklace he knew she'd love it.
Two Days Later: Christmas Morning
Annabeth Chase knew she had the greatest gift ever for her boyfriend.
She had gotten him a ring that resembled his class ring except the stone was sea green (like his gorgeous eyes) and when he pushed on the stone it turned him invisible.
She knew that helping him turn invisible was probably a bad idea but she knew that the look on his face when he opened it would make up for anything in the future he would do.
So when Percy woke her up at 6:30 in the morning she had to remind herself of the look on his face so she wouldn't kill him.
She calmly set out ingredients for blue pancakes for after their present exchange because she knew him and how he would beg her for them anyways.
Her boyfriend meanwhile was groaning on the couch for her to hurry up so when she was done she walked slower than normal over to him because she knew it would annoy him.
She saw the look on his face saying that he'd pick her up and throw her on the couch if she didn't hurry up, she got the hint and sat on his lap with his gift in her lap.
She was right about the look on his face, she just didn't expect him to lift her up and kiss her on the mouth.
Not that she minded of course.
When they finally untangled themselves and sat back down on the couch, he set his present in front of her on her lap.
She lifted the box up and smiled at him.
His gorgeous eyes distracted her for a few minutes until she snapped out of it and slowly opened the lid.
She gasped.
It was beautiful.
It was a simple silver chain with a heart pendent with a diamond in the middle of it with AC+PJ engraved around it.
She grabbed the back of his head and pulled his lips to hers until they had to break for air.
He gently took the box from her and placed the necklace around her neck, kissing her on the shoulder afterwards.
"Thank you Seaweed Brain" she whispered in his ear.
"You're welcome Wise Girl." he whispered back.
Then he pushed his ring and disappeared.
