Roxi Corestone held her breath as the train headed out of the large tunnel and into open daylight. She ran to the window and looked at the Capitol. The male tribute from District 12, Jaden Yuki, did the same. Both caught their breath. It was almost crystalline it was that beautiful.

"Wow..." Jaden managed to say. Roxi nodded but said nothing. All she could think about was her sister...

-FLASHBACK-

"Aria Corestone!" Rika Samo called out. Roxi shattered. No. Not her sister. Anybody but Aria! She looked around at Aria, who had tears streaming down her face and reluctantly moved out of her place to go to the stage. Roxi impulsively made her own stand.

"I volunteer!" she yelled and raised her hand. "I volunteer as tribute! Let Aria go!" Roxi burst out of her place and hugged Aria.

"Roxi what are you doing?!" Aria pleaded for Roxi to stop. But she just shook her head.

Roxi was called up onto the stage as the male name was called out.

"Jaden Yuki!"

A young boy moved out of his place and took a deep breath. He was brunette with deep brown eyes. Those same eyes were fixed on Roxi. She averted her gaze. She knew him, not his name, but him. The baker's son. He had thrown her a loaf of bread in her time of desperate need years ago. And now she would have to kill him.

-END OF FLASHBACK-

-TIME SKIP-

Roxi walked swiftly of the stage. She breathed a sigh of pure relief. Her interview with Cesar had gone alright, but she felt like a total baby whirling around like a flipping ballerina. If she didn't get sponsors for THAT, Chumley would pay. BIG STYLE. Roxi nodded to Jaden has he prepared to go onto the stage. She watched from a distance as Cesar asked his questions.

"Welcome Jaden...so, handsome lad like you, got a special girl waiting for you back home?"

Jaden shook his head and chuckled.

"Oh come on!"

"Well...there is a girl I've had a crush on since...well since forever I guess..."

"Oh yeah? Well if you win she'll be all over you!"

Jaden bit his lip. "Well...winning won't help me."

Cesar looked puzzled. "What do you mean Jaden?"

"Because she came here with me."

Roxi's eyes widened and she blushed madly.

-TIME SKIP-

Roxi grabbed Jaden by his collar and pinned him against the wall.

"Is that you're little game huh Yuki?!" she almost screamed. "You act all independent and then you say you've got a crush on me?! WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING YOU IDIDOT?!"

Jaden stuttered, attempting but failing to say a sentence. Roxi slammed him hard into the wall. "WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?!" She shouted.

"ROXI! DONT YOU DARE!" Chumley yelled.

Reluctantly, Roxi unpinned Jaden but threw him on the ground before storming into her room and slamming the door behind her.
