(I know, I know, half of you don't know what I'm talking about, but go along with it, please.)

Mara sighs and walks over to where Rowan is sitting.

"You might as well leave." He mumbles, turning away.

"You don't love me." His eyes, Mara knew, were cold. She frowned and looked over at the rest of the camp. The Treenesters seemed to get more comfortable with their makeshift home.

Molendinar, the healer and one of her close friends, walks over and smiles. Her hair trails across the ground as she walks. It sometimes gets dirty skimming the ground like that, but the rest of her honey-blonde hair is beautiful.

"How's Lily?" She asks, and Mara smiles.

"She's fine. Lily has become great friends with Tuck, too." At the sound of her lover's name, Molendinar looks into the distance dreamily. The two laugh.

"Is Rowan still mad at you?" The healer asks, picking up her hair and braiding the ends.

"Yeah…" Mara responds. "You think two years would've helped, but no."

"I'm right here you know!" Rowan grumbles, and gets to his feet and leaves. Mara gets up too, and goes off to find her two-year-old daughter, Lily. She looks so much like her father… Mara sighs as she picks her up. But Fox is too far away, an entire Ocean away, to think about. It breaks her heart just to think about him.

"Hiya Mommy!" Lily giggles and hugs Mara's neck. Mara walks her over to Tuck; the Gypsea boy who had some-way or another gotten to come with them to this island.

"Uncle Tuck she screeches, and jumps from Mara's arms into Tucks.

"Urth, you're heavy!" He laughs.

"Don't get into too much trouble, you two." Mara says, her voice full or concern, and then runs off to her bag. She takes out her Cyberwizz and puts the shield over her eyes. It was their meeting time already… she could hardly wait.

The Weave was spread out before her. The moon was full and over Mara's head as she dipped and turned, waiting for the Bridge to come into view.

'Fox should be there by now…' Mara thinks, and dodges a ghost as it jumps past her.

But when Mara gets to the bridge, she doesn't see Fox there. She sees an unfamiliar girl standing there, her skin a creamy white under the moon.

"Mara?" She calls, then louder:

"Mara! Mara come quick!"

Mara comes to a clean stop in front of the girl.

"I'm Pandora." The girl whispers.

"I know you must be looking for Fox." Mara nods, a knot already forming in her stomach.

"Fox is in danger. His Grandfather has found out that he is in the Necrotic world below New Mungo. If he finds him, he'll make him work again up in the City in the Sky. He needs you to come here. Fast! He needs your help to get him to safety."

Mara stares blankly at Pandora. Fox- her Fox- is in danger? She couldn't bear the thought. She lowers her eyes to the pond below them, and whispers:

"How do you know all this?"

"I found him two years ago, bent over Candlerriggs' broken body. I've stayed with him ever since, because I didn't want to live with the Water Rats."

"They're call Urchins." Mara mumbles.

Pandora lifts Mara's face up so she is looking at her.

"We're at the University, but the water is still rising. Fox is trying to find a safer place to hide right now. It's gonna be okay. I promise. But please, hurry fast!"
