The New Daddy
The demon fighting community is small enough that it is no wonder Buffy and Spike recognized each other among the ones left standing after an apocalypse. Their hands found each other, and Buffy led Spike to her house.
Buffy made the introductions: "My kids Anne and William. William, this is Spike. You're named for him. I explained. Remember?"
Anne promptly asked, "Are you going to be our new daddy?"
"Our daddy is gone now", William blurted out.
Spike stared at Buffy. Buffy said nothing but kissed Spike.
