I was walking through the halls when I saw two new guys. I walked over to them and asked who they were. The younger brother introduced himself and his older brother.
"This is Shadow and I am Sonic. What's your name?"
"My name is Amy."
Sonic walked away and Shadow just glared at me and said he hated me. Yeah that's normal.
After first hour, I saw Sonic and Shadow still looked confused. I walked over to see what the problem was.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"I am just a little confused and my brother follows me everywhere," explained Sonic.
I looked over at Shadow he looked terrified than he looked at me and glared. So I led Sonic to his class with Shadow close behind than I turned around with Shadow in my looking me dead in the eye.
His eyes had softened he asked in a gentle voice.
"Can you help me get to my class too?"
I signaled him to follow me. Turns out he was in the same class as me, Algebra one. We walked in the classroom and I handed him to the teacher. Then I went to my desk. There were two desks next to me, the one on the left was where my best friend sat Blaze and the one to the right was empty.
Shadow came over and he asked me with a shake in his voice.
"Can I sit next to you?"
"Sure."
When the teacher started her lesson on fractions or whatever she was talking all I noticed was how my eyes locked on Shadow's.
Finally the bell rang.
Next class my favorite subject, science. Wow he is in the same class as me. Guess what? We were right next to each other, again. He was having a hard time with his paper. Not that he said anything but how his paper looked like. I asked if he needed any help.
He looked somewhat surprised then he said, "Yes please."
I scooted closer and looked closer at his paper. I grabbed his textbook and explained what the teacher told us. He looked really relieved plus he really seemed to enjoy my company.
As the year went by it was still early in the year near October. We were passing notes when he wrote one asking if I would go to the dance with him. My raced and my blood pressure went up and this warmth came up my face, I have been waiting for this question.
