Where she belonged: Jack and Sophie

I sat along with Ever and Emily at a table, watching as Queen Vasilisa stood in front of the crowd, giving a knighthood or something to some guardian. I didn't actually know what was going on, I was too busy watching Sophie. She was standing behind her parents and between her brothers, watching. Placed on the top of her head was her princess tiara. I smiled. She was beautiful. I had never seen her looking more beautiful. She seemed to get more and more beautiful everyday and I still couldn't figure out how. I still couldn't actually believe that she was happy to be with me. I guess I was lucky with that because she could have any guy if she wanted but she wanted me.
The guardian stood up, bowed his head before walking back to his seat. Then Christian (Sophie's father) le his wife to the dance floor and leg her into a slow dance. Will and James stood up and walked over to our table. I watched as they led Ever and Emily over to the dance floor and pulled them against them.
I stood up and walked over to Sophie, trying to ignore the eyes of everyone watching me. People still hadn't gotten used to the fact that the daughter of the Queen had decided to fall for a guy who wasn't royal. Somehow they fine with James and Emily, and Will and Ever but they still weren't sure about me and Sophie. That annoyed me a bit but I tried not to let it get to be because I knew Sophie could tell I was upset and then she got upset which was something I didn't like happening. "May I?" I asked smiling and holding out my left hand as I bowed slightly to her. She smiled and willingly took my hand. I smiled and walked her over to the dance floor and pulled her against me. I was glad she was back where she belonged; in my arms.
