Testing Waters

Chapter one

Mistakes Not Taken

It was quiet.

A hospital shouldn't be quiet, and Carlisle knew this all too well. Something is coming, or maybe someone. And just like a cliché from some cheese movie it does, but not in any way Carlisle imagined it.

It came with shouts, curses, flailing limbs, and blood, the nurses telling the man to stay down. It was a man because Carlisle caught the site of a clean shaven goatee until the nurses pushed him back down.

"You don't understand!" he yelled as the legs were being restrained by thick padded straps, the gurney was rolling past when a tanned arm attached itself to my scrubs. "He killed them! All of them! I have to catch him! He's going to come back to finish the job, he killed all of them!"

"Sorry, Mr. Cullen." A buff doctor pried his hand of my shirt and strapped that one down to, the other being taken care of as he talked.

"Sir? What is your name? What are your injuries?" I felt myself running with the rest being informed on the situation.

Cardiac arrest.

But how was he still alive? A soft glow caught my attention from under the covers, but it kept flickering like a light bulb going out.

Pictures flashed in my memory like a moving picture show of a man with a tight suit, fake smile, short stature,… and a glowing orb on his chest.

Oh god, Oh god no.

So yes kind of testing the water with this, and hope ya'll liked it so review. I didn't have an editor on this so tell me if you see anything. If I continue this it will be at my own pace, because I have like 17 other stories to worry about on different accounts. Should this be slash? Might have a poll up on my profile, so check it out.
