AN ETERNITY
As I watch you leave,
Tears roll down my cheek.
I hear the drops of water splash onto the ground.
I wait in my bedroom,
Waiting for you to make your entrance.
But it seems like an eternity.
I do everything I can do to forget that you're not by my side.
But every second I'm not with you,
I feel like I'm missing part of my soul.
My heart aches each time I turn around and I see that you're not there.
As I watch the clock tick for every second,
I wonder if you'll come back.
I wonder if you'll love me,
The same way as I love you.
A second feels like fiver minutes,
A minute feels like an hour,
And an hour feels like an eternity.
Waiting for you is like waiting for the war to end.
It takes too long.
I remember our first kiss.
I remember the very last words you said to me before you left,
Weather I come back or not, you'll be safe.
In my head I would just repeat to myself that he WILL come back.
Hours and hours passed,
As I almost fell asleep, I felt a pair o cold arms rap around me.
He was finally back
I'm here now, you're safe. Nothing will ever separate us again. It caused us too much pain.
He whispered to me softly into my ear.
I missed his cool breath against me,
I missed his cold marble chest against me,
I missed the way he watched me sleep.
In the morning he would be the first person I would see.
But he was right,
Nothing would ever separate us again.
I knew I was safe,
With him here, by my side.
I knew there was no threat in the world that could hurt me now,
Nothing, nothing could ever hurt either of us.
That's when I heard him say
I love you.
I fell asleep there in his arms.
I love you too.
I whispered back
That's were I knew that we were made for each other.
An eternity we would be together.
