"Jeko, how much more do you need?" Leah Date called from below. Jeko made his way down, done resting and recovering his health and magic. Upon hearing the question, the wizard paused in contemplation, then clumsily checked his stuffed inventory while his two other companions fought the enemies below.
"Um..." he began.
"Well?" Leah impatiently prompted, downing another wild boar and grabbing up its tusk.
"A few." Leah paused and made an exasperated face while Dracami picked up on the conversation.
"How few is 'a few'?" the archer asked. She didn't say more, attacking a wild boar closing in on her. From a safer vantage Leah downed a white potion and ate a lemon. Immediately her bruises and cuts faded and her body glowed a light blue as her magic fully charged. Feeling once again ten miles tall, she flung herself into battle and fought to protect Dracami's back from advancing boars.
"Like, ten–OW!" Jeko got hit by a fire boar, instantly subjecting his lightening wrath on the offending monster and others surrounding it. The ones the wizard didn't kill charged for him mercilessly, trying to ram and burn him. Jeko fled to a better attacking point before clawing at them with his magic.
Leah sighed. Whatever extra boar tusks she acquired she gave to Dracami, counting on Jeko to hold his own much better against the enemies. After all, he was the strongest out of the three of them.
"Ah, so many–!" Dracami cried, jumping up to a rocky ledge and scrambling to her feet to rest. She tossed back two orange potions and one blue potion, pausing for a while to catch her breath and recover the rest of her health. Right below her Leah struggled to get a mass of boars out of her way, quickly losing health and magic. Jeko jumped in to help, letting the beautiful warrior gather more tusks and mesos. The two of them hopped up to Dracami's spot, where Leah handed the graceful archer some extra tusks. Dracami grinned, her assignment finally done.
"Hey, what about me?" Jeko whined, bouncing up and down between the two. Leah rolled her eyes, then gave the rest of her extra tusks to him, who then grinned happily and danced a little jig. Dracami burst out laughing while Leah sighed. She began laughing when Dracami joined in, then danced a little herself. Below the frustrated boars searched for their quarry, snorting and steaming. Their attention diverted when another warrior like Leah came into the scene and began taking them down easily enough. The three friends only watched, their missions done for the day.
Leah finally said, "Well, shall we go?" Their wounds completely healed, everyone agreed on the suggestion, then began to climb back up the mountain.
"Lith Harbor, right?" Jeko confirmed.
"Yup!" Leah replied, missing a rope she had jumped for. Dracami missed that same rope, but unfortunately she fell back to the base of the mountain and bruised her hip and side.
"Ow..." she commented, getting up and dodging boars left and right. She managed to climb back to safety, then more carefully made her way back to her waiting friends. Leah giggled, squeaking when Dracami poked her with her bow. Feeling inspired, Jeko poked both girls with his wand, who poked him back, then they all poked each other for a full thirty seconds before getting under way on their journey back to Lith Harbor.
