It was still early in the morning and Dean was already working on his impala. Castiel stood beside him, watching the wiggling legs tucking out bellow the car.

The car got so messed up from last night's vampire hunt, but at least it didn't require Dean to build her up from scratch. Normally, Dean would curse at the monsters, demon, whatever the things he last hunted are. In this case, those blood-sucking vampires. But he didn't this day, strangely.

"Cas, get me the screw, would you?" Dean said from under the car. Castiel nodded and zapped to the shed. He came back in seconds with a screw already in his hand. "Here, Dean."

Castiel came to them this morning, saying he wanted to check on Sam and Dean. This has become something customary to visit the brothers every time they got wounded badly from a hunt. And by badly, it usually means broken arms or legs or something of the sort. Sam has the broken leg, which forced him to stay in bed for a few days, but Dean merely got his shoulder torn up by a vampire, which is something he stitched up easily. Dean sometimes wonder if Cas has been watching them the entire time. If not how can he know? Well, I guess mom was right, the angels are watching over us. Except that he never thought that angel would be his best friend.

Dean slid out and accepted the screw Cas gave to him. "Thanks buddy" with a smile. Then he went right back in. Castiel crouched down, trying to see what Dean is doing, but it was too low for him to see. Nevertheless, he enjoyed just looking at Dean's legs.

But after a while, he noticed the inconvenient pose and stood back up again.

Castiel tried to break the silence, "Dean" he paused "You know I can use my powers to fix it, right?" he said as he slided his hands accross the vehicle. "Cas! No, don-." Dean jumped, resulting in a smack on his head as he try to get up under the car.

Slowly, he slid himself out. "Cas" he breathed, still rubbing at his forehead where he hit himself.

"Yes?" Cas replied.

"Don't you dare to lay a finger on my car. You understand me?"

"Yes." He obeyed, and directly removed his hands from the impala.

Few hours has passed. Castiel was still patiently waiting for Dean. He didn't mind the waiting. He never does. He enjoys spending time with the righteous man, though Dean doesn't know that. Everything that he'd done, he did it for him. Every rebelion, every sacrifices he made, was for him. He just hoped that Dean would one day understand how much he meant to the angel.

"Alright, that'll do it." Dean finally said, wiping off the grease from his hands. "Wanna go and get some beer, cas?"

Castiel stared at him "yes, I would like that."

Dean got into the impala and was about to start the engine when he realized Cas' just standing outside the impala "Get in the car, Cas" He shouted.

"I can't, Dean. The door is closed." Castiel replied.

"Then just open it, Cas. It's not locked."

"I can't."

"What?! Why."

"You told me not to lay a finger on your car."

Dean got confused for a moment before he finally burst out laughing.

"What's so funny?" said Castiel with his head tilted.

"You are, Cas. You are." He said, wipping the tears of laugher from his eye before starting the engine.

"I don't find it as funny, Dean. You were very serious back then."

"Oh come on, Cas. Just open the door and get in. Or fly in or something for god's sake."

Cas said nothing and 'zapped' himself into the car, which made the person beside him flinch. But Dean did not complain and started driving.

[Woot! My first fanfic. I hope I did okay with this. I'm still trying to get used to the whole thing about writing and stuff]
