Prologue

3000 years ago

As a crowd is seen gathering in a large clearing as lightning strike the ground in the distance and thunder rumbled in the pitch black sky. An individual steps into a higher platform so the clan can see him and hear him. He is the high leader of the clan. His name is Gabriel Martyr.

Gabriel clears his throat and begins to speak,"My people, we are facing a grave threat."

The clan members mutter to each other clearly confused.

Gabriel lifts his hand for silent before continuing,"The clan's former wizard has betrayed us all. He has allowed his power to go to his head."

Suddenly the clan hears dark laughter coming from the darkness surrounding the clan's gathering place. Soon a dark voice can also be heard.

"Must you really be so dramatic, Gabriel? I hardly betrayed the clan. I just wish to be the high leader or this clan will be destroyed"

Gabriel turns angrily towards the voice and speaks," You might as well show yourself, Zeddicus Wraith!

More dark laughter is heard as the tall,dark wizard steps into the steel blue eyes locked with the High Leader's brown eyes. His lips curled into a malicious smirk.

He begins to speak,"You all know who I am. I was once one of you but I see now I was meant to rule over this clan."

Gabriel violently shakes his head before angrily responding," Zeddicus, you are overstepping your bounds. This is not a kingdom to rule over.

Zeddicus once again bursts into dark laughter before continuing," Gabriel you fool. You can't stop me from taking over"

Zeddicus raises his hand and dark magic begins to swirl around it.

Gabriel just stares at Zeddicus seemingly unafraid and he shakes his head before speaking once again,"Zeddicus, I was hoping for your redemption but now I see it's impossible. You leave me with no choice."

Gabriel proceeds to pull out the heart shaped crystal out of his robe.

Zeddicus looks at the crystal heart clearly puzzled at first but suddenly seems to sense the energy calling from the crystal and he smirks and speaks." Well now I was always wanting a power upgrade. Just one more artifact to add to my collection. Head it over!

Gabriel just looks at Zeddicus coolly and calmly before speaking, "This was a gift from the Gods back when we started off as slaves in another nation. It's what earned us our freedom and it will aide us once again".

The crystal begins to glow and pulse with a powerful energy.

Zeddicus seemed very angry and yells,"Gabriel, stop that right now!"

Zeddicus lunges towards Gabriel but suddenly the crystal heart activates completely and pushes Zeddicus back a few yards.

Gabriel's eyes were now glowing gold and speaks with authority," I now banish you, Zeddicus Wraith into a alternative dimension for eternity"

Zeddicus suddenly laughs darkly as his activates his magic ,"You are a fool! You will never be rid of me!"

Zeddicus's magical bolt flies towards Gabriel and just before it could hit him, the crystal's power overpowered it and Zeddicus gets trapped within a surge of pure light.

Zeddicus's dark voice can be heard,

" I will never be gone for eternity. I will be back someday and your family now and future generations with not be safe from my wrath. I will be back!"

After the light disappears, Zeddicus is no longer there and Gabriel clearly weak from using the crystal's full power, collapses and his wife rushes to his side.

Gabriel looks at his wife and strokes her hair and softly speaks to her, "My dear I sacrificed my own life energy to banish the wizard." He pauses before continuing,"I am afraid my soul is going to be absorbed into the crystal heart"

His wife gasps before speaking, "but why?

Gabriel leans in weakly before speaking,"It's part of the sacrifice. Fear not my dear wife, any future keepers of the heart will have me to guide them. Protect the children."

The High Leader,Gabriel's body become cold and lifeless as his spirit enters the Crystal Heart as it glows brightly.
