Man
It slams against his chest,
Assaults his mind,
Tears at his heart.
It is unbearable.
He tries to restrain it,
He tries to deal with it,
He tries to reason with it,
He tries.
He pushes, and pushes harder.
He will not give in.
He recalls what divides him
From the animal.
He breathes,
He thinks,
He analyzes,
He cares.
So is man.
