Chapter 1-pg 1
Daryl dragged the deer corpse behind him, hoping to see the safety of the prison lurking behind the trees.
"NOO!" Screams of fright flooded his ears as he approached the wooden bridge. He caught a glimps of red and orange from the corner of his eye and cursed under his breath. He dropped the meal and swung his trusty crossbow into his hand. He ran with all his might trying to reach the remaining survivors. He saw rick carrying a little girl to the yellow school bus they had stolen just weeks before. He knew he could trust rick to get the people to safety, until he heard the screams of his own men women and children being bit. A sound he knew too well. He ran round to the opening only he knew about in the fence and clambered through. Running as fast as his legs would carrying him he made his way over to rick and carol.
"Oh my god you're alive!" Carol gasped throwing herself on daryl. "Yeah.. yeah... what happened?"
"The govenor happend" said rick as he examined the situation. "We were just gonna go over to D block"
"You and carol?"
"Yeah and beth" said rick
"Naa.. you stay here" he said going for carol's hand. " i need you."
"Beth ! Time to go!" Rick shouted. Beth picked up her favourite gun a small one she found the first time she entered her cell. Rick, Daryl and Beth all ran over to D block. Rick unlocked the door separating them from the bloody horror inside.
