"Oh man, late again! Mom's gonna kill me!" Gohan said, rushing in to the school. All of a sudden, a locker slammed behind him. When he turned around, he saw Videl with a smug look on her face. Gohan didn't like the sight of that. He shifted his weight from one foot to the other, feeling a little akward."Hi Videl. I need to be getting to class, do you need something." He said, nervously looking at the ground. Videl smirked, he was going to be easy to manipulate."Gohan, it's over." Videl said. He looked at her curiously,"What do you mean by that, Videl?" She waltzed up to him, and ripped off the band-aid adorning his face."Hmm, exactly. Saiyaman had a scratch in the same place. It's over Gohan, your Saiyaman." He looked at her with a cocked eyebrow,"Yes, but what are going to do with this information." Suprised by his anwser, she quickly replied,"I don't know; tell the press, I guess." Gohan laughed, suprising Videl even more."Please, who would believe you. No one. I'm just a little book nerd." Videl fumed,"It's your word verses mine, I'm the daughter of Mr. Satan. You just the nerdy, new kid. Who do you think would win." He glared at her,"Go ahead, tell the press. Then I'll get a restraining order, following people home is against the law, police or not. You had no right to. I have proof too, my helmet has a camera." Gohan said. Videl smirked,"Yeah right, my dad has lawyers to go against you. You would have no chance!" Gohan looked down,"You're right. I have no choice." Videl smirked and held her head up high,"All right!Now that I have you, I want you to teach me how to fly!" Gohan smirked at her,"No." Videl's face flared up as she yelled,"WHAT! Then I'll tell the press!" Gohan flashed a picture of his family and said,"I have Bulma Breifs as a godmother and the Ox King as a grandfather. I can havea lawyer too, plus, I could ruin you. The daughter of Satan city: blackmailing an innocent hero that was just trying to save the day." Videl gapped at him, opening and closing her mouth. Gohan's smirk widened when he saw the look on her face,"I might be quiet, but I can protect myself. I don't need my family in the spotlight, we don't need my little brother turning out like you," he said, closing her mouth,"Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm late for class."
And with that, Gohan left her alone to stew.
From that day forward, Videl had a new-found respect for Gohan. He just wanted his family's privacy, and that was respectable; and if some one didn't respect his boundaries, he could defend himself. Once Videl started backing off, Gohan started liking her. The two grew closer and closer, Gohan even taught her how to fly. They went on to be best friends and,maybe in the future, more.
