Ginger
It had started as a "fishing" trip with his dad. It wasn't exactly a full outdoorsy experience. They'd go fishing in the morning and for a brief hike in the afternoon. But otherwise Jimi and his dad were staying in a hotel. His dad had business to attend to in the evenings which left Jimi utterly alone and bored.
His friends had all gotten tickets to the big football match, so trying to even talk to them was out of the question. This trip had just been a terrible mess of a time. Neither Jimi nor his dad exactly wanted to be there. His dad wasn't an outdoorsman. Jimi didn't mind being outdoors but he preferred being outdoors playing football not fishing.
Jimi had decided to sneak away from his dad for an hour or so. Go walk around the town they were staying in. There was a full moon tonight so it was bright, but if Jimi needed his phone was equipped with a flashlight. Jimi didn't found the town of much interest to him. It was larger the Stoneybridge but in a weird way it almost felt smaller. Maybe it was the fact the nearest woods was nearly three kilometers away? He felt weird that he couldn't just wake a bit out of the way and wind up in the woods.
Jimi's wandering of the town had almost taken him outside to the road heading home. He was about to turn back and head to the hotel. He could always try to catch the end of the game on the telly.
It wasn't until he heard a howl and the sound of a garbage can being knocked over, that he decided to not turn back. The noise had come from an ally nearby. He should've turned back for the hotel, but it's as if a force was dragging him down the alley. He had pulled his phone from his jean pocket and had the flashlight up and running within seconds.
Jimi scanned the dimly lit alley for a sign of what had made the crashing sound. He was ready to forget even hearing anything, when out of the corner of his eye he saw it. A wolf.
In a strange way the wolf looked almost familiar. It's ginger coat reminding Jimi all too much a certain red head that swooped in and out of school all too suddenly. He felt frozen, it was almost as if he was captivated by the wolf in front of him.
His mind races to thoughts of Liam and werewolves. To thoughts of Shannon's beast. That in that moment maybe Liam was right and that werewolves existed. Maybe the pretty ginger girl was one. It was no coincidence that Jana's hair and this wolves fur were an exact match right?
The wolf was getting closer. It's teeth bared. Jimi knew he should be running but his feet remained glued. The wolf was barely a meter away, and suddenly it's mouth closed. It was almost as it the wolf was searching for something as it crept closer and began to sniff Jimi's leg.
Jimi studied the wolf as it studied him. He could've sworn the wolf have him a nod as if it was approving of him before it ran off. Jimi blinked a few times. It was almost as if the wolf knew him. It was all too strange for comfort. He took a deep breath and waited a few moments before turning around to head back to the hotel.
Jimi would never know that just outside of town the ginger wolf was once more turning human. Jana shook her red hair out of her face, before turning to face the town.
"You owe me pretty boy," she smirked before running off to join the pack she now led.
Well I'm gonna try to do this thing where I post or atleast finish one work in progress a day in December. Here's the first one. I started this like the episode Jana left so idk.
Dedicated to Sara.
