It was an overcast day outside. I sat in my bed, putting my navy boots with neon orange soles as my adoptive mother, Kit, dashed into my room with some important paperwork I needed to be accepted into the training program, although Meta Knight already accepted me a few months ago. Even though I had anticipated this day for that long, being a young, furry light blue Puffball, I was bound to be somewhat worried as I was not going to see Kit very often from this point on for many years.

As Mama Kitty was mute, she spoke using a notebook-well, showing me what she wrote in it-to communicate. Uncle Kat taught me how to read, so this was no problem for me. This time, Mama Kitty wrote a to-do list with specific instructions on what to do and what to pack, so I knew what to do. I had my pencil handy so I could fill out the checklist she provided. I already checked off getting dressed, which I did just before Mama Kitty strode in. The next on the list was to comb my hair-check. Once I did everything on the list and I packed my luggage, Mama Kitty gave me a hug as we left for the train that would take me to where I needed to go, however I was unsure of where that was, though I would know soon enough.

Once we got to the train station, we sat in the waiting area until we were called for our train. Minutes felt as if they were hours as we waited for the train to arrive. Once the train arrived, I saw it was an orange locomotive with a Waddle Dee face on the front of it. Mama Kitty waved to me with a grin on her face as I boarded the train.

"Bye-bye, Mama Kitty! I'm about to start my own adventure!" I cheered as I waved out of the open window, my hair flying in my face.
