"Hello! My name is Zel… or should I say was Zel. Anyway, I don't have a lot of time to explain myself so… let's get started!"
…
One year ago, I moved out of California. It was raining when I first got to Detroit. I was sixteen, but I lied about my age so I could move into an apartment. Before you ask, no, my father is not dead. He's just as abusive as ever (but that's a story for another day). But, back to what I was saying before. The landlady (who is the only person to know my secret) was even kind enough to allow me to open up a café at the front of the structure. I was starting to unpack when I decided to do it later, and to go out in the rain to explore and maybe check out the local park.
At a crosswalk, I noticed, standing next to me was this young girl in a yellow-orange dress and knee-high boots holding a matching umbrella. She looked about eight years old. Her already dark skin looked even darker next to my ghostly pale complexion. Innocent baby blue eyes, unlike my own sad harvest gold eyes hidden behind the deep red, square frames of my glasses. In two pigtails, she owned striking bloody red hair opposite to my boyish styled, unnatural silver hair. And she had human ears, very different from me because I was born without ears. Thus, I had mechanical ears made for me, they kind of look like black headphones.
I hadn't realized I was staring until she spoke to me. Realizing my rudeness, I apologized and introduced myself. Laughing, she as well, introduced herself as Sari Sumdac. She asked if I was lost, and I just smiled sheepishly and nodded.
After showing me around, she asked me if I wanted to meet her friends. I said I would have loved to, but it was getting late and I had to get home and start the inevitable chore of unpacking.
With a sad smile, Sari nodded in understanding and said maybe another time. I told her to call me sometime as I wrote down my home number for her. I also told her I was starting up my own café, also writing down the address for her.
After handing her the paper, I waved Sari goodbye as she ran off toward what looked like an abandoned warehouse.
I smiled as I walked home, getting drenched, happy that I made a new friend on my first day here.

"… Hmmm? Well, I have to get going, Jazz is probably having a spark-attack about now and I need to go reassure him that I'm fine. I also found an old game I want Bumblebee to try. Bye-bye!"
[note: if I owned this, I would not be here would I? also, Zel belongs to me. TFA belongs to Hasbro, etc, etc, etc.]
