It's Thursday and you want to go into work this early, workaholic is an understatement when it comes to describing you. This case it taking up so much of your time recently and I was hoping for some much needed us time. I need to remind you that there's life after this case and that I'm still here.

Waking up too early
Maybe we can sleep in
Make you banana pancakes
Pretend like it's the weekend now
And we could pretend it all the time

Maybe we could stay here today, enjoy a day together, I could make you all your favourite foods we could forget all of this and be our usual selves. We could have a lazy day in bed or watch some of those DVDs that you love so much, hell I'd do whatever as long as it's just you and me together but I know that it'll take a lot of convincing to persuade you to take a day off work. You're dressed now and looking out of the window, we both know you hate this rainy weather and you hate going out in it.

For a day we could forget all about murderers, rapists and other criminals and be wrapped up in a world that's just us, like it was in the beginning before reality hit. I love you like mad and reality's not changed that, I just wish that we had more us time. I can see you're seriously considering saying to hell with work and staying here with me, you've missed this too and now you're back in bed in my arms kissing me.

You're looking over at your phone, which has sprung to life, and even I can see Strickland's name flashing up. After all the convincing it took to persuade you to stay here, I know Strickland could ruin that in seconds by telling you something about this case. Surprisingly though you haven't answered it and instead you've rolled back over and are kissing me. Each other is all we need and it all we ever could when we're each others worlds.
