She looked stunning as she stepped off the train at kings cross station, into the clouds of steam. Her usually bushy brown hair was dead straight and her slim-fit jeans and tight t-shirt showed off all that used to be hidden under the Hogwarts uniform. Ron couldn't believe his luck. A whole month with just Hermione, no Harry, no Ginny, no parents and no looming battle against evil.

The rest of the Weasleys and Harry had gone a few days ago to stay with Bill and Fleur in their cottage for the last month of the holidays. Ron had asked Hermoine if she wanted to come stay at the burrow with him before she started work at the Ministry in the newly appointed position of HORER (head of respecting elf rights). Ron himself had been working at Weasleys Wizard Wheezes part time for the holidays and was just about to start working side by side with Harry at Hogwarts, teaching Defence against the Dark Arts.

She stood there looking around for the fuzzy red head that she had missed dearly for the past few months. They had written a few letters and she had given ron a telephone as a parting gift which he had tried to use but ended up dialling a call centre in korea and accidentally ordered a years worth of RICE, an asian porno magazine. She'd then given up on voice communication. She was nervous, she didn't know what she meant to ron. She wasn't sure why he had invited her to stay, usually it was so that she could hang out with tonks and Ginny. They had become more than friends just after the battle but hadn't seen each other for almost three months. She caught sight of that tall handsome figure as he rushed forward and scooped up her baggage with ease. He swept her into a long kiss with his free arm and whispered " I missed you" into her ear.

Hermione blushed and thought to herself, 'this certainly will be a month to remember'
