AN: Hey guys, this story is for the courage is not just a Gryffindor trait challenge. I hope you guys like it XD

Draco slowly walked down the stairs to the main floor of the entrance hall. He was really nervous about what he was going to do next, a big task. It would take a lot of courage to break up with Pansy.

He walked into the Great Hall, and down the seemingly long aisle to the Slytherin table. He felt a ton of pressure during the moment, and felt as if he was sweating bullets. He sat down at the table and stared at Pansy for a minute. He needed to break up with her, he was becoming a death eater in a few months, not by his choice of course, and wanted her to be safe. To be quite honest, he liked her, sure, but he wasn't in love with her.

No one would expect him to believe in love, because he constantly hid behind the mask he built the past five years. He wanted people to think he couldn't break, he was stronger than them. Truth was, he was just like anyone in this room.

He looked at his silver watch and looked next to him, and Blaise was sitting there. He was talking about something to Theo, but Draco didn't really care.

"Pansy...will you meet me at the astronamy tower tonight at eight?" he asked, his voice shaking. She smiled, and nodded. Draco went back to eating, feeling guilty. He wasn't sure why he felt guilty, but the feeling was there, and the voices in his head weren't talking to him.

He walked in the hallway and slid down the wall to sit. A small Ravenclaw girl skipped out of the Great Hall, and she turned to face him.

"Draco, what's wrong?" Luna Lovegood asked him. He looked into her matching blue gray eyes.

"I have to do something tonight, and I'm trying to find courage." he told her. She smiled and skipped away. He sat thinking about what he would have to do at eight, and decided not to think about it until he had to. He walked aimlessly through the corridors, not sure where he was going. He stopped to look out a window, and rain was falling out of the sky. Perfect, just great, he thought to himself. It was seven thirty, so he walked to the tower, simply needing to think to himself.

Not long after he arrived, he heard footsteps coming from behind him. He spun around and saw Pansy. He exhaled before speaking.

"Pansy, I'm really sorry..." he started, but she interupted.

"Draco, I know you are going to break up with me." she said with a small smile, "and I know you must have a good reason. I'm not going to hold you against your will to be with me, it's just that, I really like you, I do. There just isn't a spark, nothing to make you more than my friend. I really hope we can still be friends." she told him. He, once again, exhaled, but this time, it was out of relief.

"I was hoping we could still be friends too, you feel more like a friend, not a girlfriend. I am happy when I am around you, but I don't get butterflies or a rush. I'm not sure guys get that, but I can tell you were meant to just be a friend. I am really sorry." he whispered. She could still hear, after all, it was silent. They looked over the top of the tower, looking at the muddy grounds.

They smiled at each other and walked back inside to their common room. Draco sure was glad he mustered up the courage to do that. He felt lucky, not everyone had a second chance with people, but he did. He was thankful with that.

AN: I hope I did a good job. Not so sure though. Maybe you could judge me on that. Yeah I know this is super cheesy, but that's how happy endings are written right? Well, anyway, I hope you liked it. :D
