War.

Devastation always to be left in its wake, unchangeable acts fall upon all; the ill intended and the innocent.

Bound to nature, it occurs, but not with out its consequences.

As pawns fall, victory is claimed by the mighty. Surrender is forced upon those who do not carry the strength to pursue any longer. The game is over and the rules are to be set by the winner.

Those who fall are to be placed under those who have won.

Law of the land is no different here.

Many years ago, a time even I can hardy even remember, We were once a kingdom. We stood.

Mighty.

Proud.

Kind.

We served the land for We were one with it. We lived beside the creatures of the land, with them.

Not over them.

They were here long before us. It is a great honor that despite so much power they hold, they allowed us to work side by side with them to create a nation of peace and harmony. Friendship and guidance were our way, because We understood these creatures as much as they understood us.

At the beginning, not much, but with time, there was an undeniable connection. There was a bond that could not be broken.

We didn't need words of the same language to understand them and they didn't need it to understand us.

And in this way, We sacrificed what could be seen as greater aspects for the sake of a true connection to the ones that we considered as friends and even family.

Strength and Intelligence.

We sacrificed these calling for the sake of our beings, for the sake of our spirits!

But… for what we saw as great….

Was only a foolish dream.

They came with numbers.

Words fell upon deaf ears, as countless lives were lost when arms were bore.

Wild and rampant, they tore down all barriers and obstacles, leaving nothing, but blood and fire.

They invaded the sanctums of our beloved kingdom and over threw our rule.

I still remember watching as We were betrayed.

Time stood still in moment when fire and ice were not against each other.

No.

Instead, they stood as one.

Our King fell.

We fell.

As one, we had succumbed to those who are greater than us. We are no longer a nation, a kingdom.

We lucky few still exist to serve those who are above us. We serve as a reminder of true power and wisdom.

It is an honor.

.

"We are not lucky."
