The year that never was, Martha Jones was walking the Earth, telling people her story, so she could win back the Doctor. Meanwhile on the Valiant, his arms in chains Captain Jack Harkness grinned as Tish arrived with food "Cold mashed swede, my favourite" he said sarcastically giving Tish a wink. "Its all your getting" she replied rolling her eyes then left, leaving Jack alone. He looked up as guards dragged a girl, shoving her in the cell behind him, he knew that girl "Rose!"
The Doctor looked out of the bars in his cage into the laughing face of the Master. "Guess what" said the Master "Guess whos locked up next to the freak in the engine room" the Doctor grabbed the bars and glared, he knew "Dont you hurt her. Dont hurt Rose" the Master grinned "I wont...well not yet anyway" The Doctors eyes filled with anger and tears "Dont. Or you'll pay! I..I.." he stopped and the Master grinned madly "You love her! Hahahaha! Now I know how to break those hearts of yours" with that he left and headed for the engine room leaving the Doctor scowling in rage.
Jack took in Rose's beautiful features and saw tears embedded in her eyes "Its ok Rose. We'll get out of this" Rose looked at him and replied in a shaky voice "I hope so Jack" The Master entered the engine room and shot Jack, he liked shooting Jack. Rose looked at him, as he grabbed her hair "Look at that pretty face. Shame to ruin it" he held the laser screwdriver to her head and pressed the button.
The Doctor heard Roses scream and kicked the edge of the cage hard. The Master had gone too far this time. Jack revived to find the Master had gone and bit his lip at the sight of Roses crumpled body. "No..I'll kill him. Not Rose..poor sweet Rose Tyler."
