Disclaimer: I do not own Marvin (pity...) or Hitchhiker's Guide. They belong to the fabulous Douglas Adams.
Hi. :P I was thinking of Marvin and how he has often bored stuff (doors, ships) to death. That made me think of the time when Marvin bored the ship (belonging to those suit guys who wanted to shoot/kill HoG's crew) to death on that planet with his owners (Trillian, Zaphod, Ford, Arthur) walking through mysterious tunnels and stuff. I don't remember clearly. It goes something like this when they return:
"I got very bored and depressed, so I went and plugged myself into the ship's external computer feed. I talked to the computer at great length, and explained my view of the universe to it, " said Marvin.
"And what happened?" pressed Ford.
"It committed suicide," said Marvin.
And so on. Reviews are definitely welcomed. It's nice to know someone loves me out there...

"Hello, my name is Marvin. No, you don't have to answer, I know you really don't want to. No one wants to. No one cares about poor Marvin, sitting there in the corner, rusting. And with this pain in all the diodes down my left side. Of course you would never experience anything like that, your owners are probably too nice. No one cares about me. They never listen. I tell them how depressing my life is but they never listen. You will listen though, right? No, I suppose not. No one listens.
Haven't I already said this? Oh, don't bother me. I'm feeling very depressed. And bored – there is nothing big enough to occupy the mind of a robot with a head the size of a planet. No one cares about me...or even my existance. Life? Don't talk to me about life. I'm not getting you down at all, am I? No, I suppose I am. You'd like me to go now, wouldn't you? You don't care about my everyday experiences. And with the pain in all these diodes down my left side. Haven't I already said that? Who cares. Not you, obviously.
What? What's that? Are you telling me something? I suppose you want me to go away. Well, just a moment. No, I don't care if you've just sent a couple of guys down to kill my owners. I don't care about them. They don't care about me. Are you listening? My life is a pathetic existance. Yes, it's true. And with all the GPPs in that ship over there. The Heart of Gold. Who would give a ship a name like that? Marvin is bad enough...I loathe my name. I loathe you, I loathe the computer, I loathe everything in existance...Yes, the computer. 'Eddie' indeed. They are so depressingly happy and eager to assist. Suppose they'll just die some day out of idiocy when they come face to face with some killer robot. I suppose...
I...I'm not getting you down, am I? It's amazing how...oh, wait. You've left me. ... No one listens, no one cares."
((PS: It's the last few lines when the ship commits suicide.))
