Just a one shot about Ichimaru's dying moments. Its sad but I feel that I owe the wonderful character that is Gin that much. He deserves to be recognized. Thanks for reading!
"Gin! Gin! Please don't leave me…again" Matsumoto wailed over the dying Ichimaru's body.
"Rangiku…I have something…to tell you…something I never said…" Ichimaru struggled to speak as his lungs failed and his body numbed from blood loss.
"What is it…Gin…it's okay I understand now…you were trying to kill Aizen. I forgive you…please just don't go" Matsumoto mimpered.
"Ran-chan…I love you…and I'm sorry I left." Ichimaru whispered. He wished he could say more, tell her everything, be alive to comfort her but he was dying and there was nothing else he could do. "Please…tell Izuru…that he has gotten strong and that he…has done…a good…job of taking care of the…sanbantai…tell him…I'm sorry…I…I abandoned him. Tell him…he was the best fukutaicho…I could ever have…he deserves to know…I appreciated it all, everything he did for me." Ichimaru struggled to speak as his mind numbed and his vision faded.
This is the best moment of my life, dying in your arms Rangiku. I failed to take back what was taken from you. Even in my last moments, you stay by me cryin'. Why are you cryin' sweet Rangiku? I am not worth shedding tears over.
I thought I would be able to kill him, I had planned it for over a century but here I lay here dying…not able to lift a finger. I have failed to destroy that monster…but Kurosaki Ichigo you are now strong enough to do so. I leave the rest to you.

That was my version of Ichimaru Gin's dying wish and last thoughts. I will probably write another chapter where Matsumoto tells Kira about Ichimaru's final words. I guess then it will be a two shot.
